DATE AND PLACE OF MUSTER: July 10, 1861, Bolivar Mo.

DATE AND PLACE OF DEATH: July 26, 1861, near Bolivar Mo.

CAUSE OF DEATH: Accidental discharge of firearm; death in the line of duty and not caused by Private Davison's negligence.*

PROOF OF MARRIAGE: Amzi A. Davison and Louisa J. Akard, married August 7, 1850, at the home of Lavina Akard, Polk Co., Mo., by Rev. William B. Senter. Affidavit of James J. Akard and John Watson; recorded Oct. 16, 1850 in the county clerk's office at Bolivar.

ADJUDICATION: Approved March 23, 1869, at the rate of $8.00 per month, plus $2.00 for each child under the age of 16, retroactive to July 27, 1861. File #826,683

DROPPED FROM PENSION ROLL: By death, Dec. 2, 1904, at Eudora, Mo. Rate of pension of last payment, $12.00 a month.


*A more detailed doctor's report stated that he was shot while in camp on July 10, 1861, near the heel of his right foot. Infection set in, followed by blood poisoning which lead to his death.
