Admiralty. 15th January, 1859.

My Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty desire to call the particular attention of all Commanding Officers of Her Majesty's Ships and Vessels to the directions contained in Circular No. 322 of the 14th April last, as many Lower Masts have of late been found to be sprung, in consequence of the injudicious Staying of the Masts and Setting-up of the Lower Rigging.
