Pay : Engineers and Stokers : Circa July 1834

By a recent regulation of the Admiralty, the Engineers and Stokers serving on board his Majesty's steamers when within the Tropics, are to receive an addition of one half their usual pay ; for instance, instead of 10s. they will receive 15s. per diem. Circa July 1834.
