all that, we want to make sure that our readers recognize and appreciate the special people who
have made significant contributions to this page. A few of these participants have made such extraordinary efforts that they deserve special
mention: Joyce Ingerson, the late Carol Brotzman, Larry Pardoe, Lyle Rockwell, and David Bailey. We have also been assisted by the contributions, comments and
collegiality of our friends at the Sullivan County Historial Society (SCHS), especially Nancy Spencer and Melanie Norton. Here are the contributions of

A note from Bob Sweeney:
Through the efforts of many family members, we are beginning
to build an exciting, historically informative and commemorative record
of the grandparents, great-grandparents and others who helped build
Sullivan County and were the founders of the McDonald and Sweeney
families in that area.
My personal thanks to John Laughlin, Ray and Linda McDonald,
Bettyann Sick Goodyear, Tina Pastusic, Mary Scott, Bart Cavanaugh, Carol Brotzman, Mike Krause,
Kathy Farrell, Pj Little, Tim Myers and Leo P. McDonald for
helping to build and make possible this historical
respository. And special thanks to Margie and Joe
Long in Buffalo and Beth Wereley in Easton (who helped
inspire this search for me), and to the many other members of the
McDonald, Montpetit, Sick, Sweeney, Casey, Carey and related
families who have cheerfully contributed their time and
recollections.
And a final thanks to that wonderful custodian of
Sullivan County history, the late Nedra Snyder, for all she did
to help us with our search.
This is only a beginning.
Bob Sweeney
