Ella Sweeney Postcards

Ella Sweeney Postcards
To Her Cousins in Elmira
Tom and Sandy Crossett are the source of information for our accompnaying story about the Harrison family and their relations. Among these relations was Ella Bridget Sweeney, daughter of Owen and Margaret (Jordan) Sweeney, and the school teacher for Alice and Mary Harrison in Cherry Mills, PA, before the Harrison family moved to Elmira, NY. Ella and these Harrison children communicated by postcards on a regular bais after the family moved. Several surviving postcards are included in John H. Harrison and Catherine Jordan, and the rest are presented here. We are grateful to Tom and Sandy for preserving these unique communications from a bygone era.
