John Trimble lifelong resident of Drumore township, died at the home of his son Samuel, near Liberty Square, on Thursday morning.
He was seventy eight years old and has always lived in Drumore. He was a hard working and industrious man. For a great many years he carried on threshing in which he had a very large trade all over the lower end of the county.
His wife has been dead for a number of years. Bucks, No.115 South Duke Street of pneumonia after having been ill since last Sunday. During her early married life she resided for some time in Drumore Twp., and for a short time in Philadelphia and for the past 30 years in this city. Her husband has been deceased 7 years. She was a member of St. Paul's M.E. Church for many years. She is survived by the following children. John C., Mrs. Annie Shaub, James, Mrs. Ella Trout, Mrs. Alice Lefever, Mrs. Sarah Eckman, Samuel I. and Mrs. Belle I. Bucks, all of this city. Brief private funeral services will be held from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bucks, No. 115 South Duke Street, on Monday morning at 9:00 o'clock and further services from the Bethesda M.E. Church at 10:45 o'clock. Internment at the adjoining cemetery.
James H. Trimble died last midnight at his late home, No. 119 South Christian Street, from heart trouble. He was in his 80th year. The deceased was born in Drumore Centre, but had been a resident of this city for the last 15 years. He was a member of St. Paul's M.E. Church and took an active part in its welfare. He is survived by his wife, who was Miss Eliza Zell, of Rawlinsville, and the following children: John, Mrs. A. D. Shaub, James, Mrs. Harry Trout, Mrs. Alice Lefever, Mrs. E. C. Eckman, Samuel, Mrs. H. A. Bucks, all of this city. One brother, George Trimble, of Drumore township, and these sisters also survive: Mary McKinney and Miss Alice Trimble, of this city. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.
The funeral took place on Monday morning at 9 o'clock from the late residence of the deceased, at 119 South Christian Street and at 10:30 at the M.E. Church, Bethesda, with internment in the adjoining cemetery.

Born in Drumore township she was the daughter of the late Aaron D and Mabel Cummings Ressler. She was the wife of Harold H. Trimble.
She was a graduate of Lancaster Business College and worked at Dewalt Products Comany prior to her marriage.
A member of Chestnut Level Presbyterian CHurch for over 50 yrs, she was a past secretary of the Woman's asscoiation at the Church.
She was a member of Circle 3 and treasurer of Drumore United Workers Circle of the International Order of Kings Daughters and Sons. She was also tresurer of the Firemans Society 11

Paul M. "Shorty" Trimble, 85 of 2361 Beaver Valley Pike, New Providence, died Sunday at Lancaster General Hospital after a month long illness. He was the husband of Helen G. Trimble. They marked their 54th anniversary in June.
Born in Drumore he was the son of B. Frank and Suie Esleman.
He retired in 1972 after 30 years as a petroleum truck driver for Amway Co. He was also a farmer
A member of Mount Hope United Methodist Church for more than 55 years he had served as trustee, treasurer, and a member of the offical board. He was also a member of the cemetery board of the Church and was active in Meals on Wheels.
Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters Goldena T. wife of Robert J. Landis of Quarryville, and Pauline F. wife of Danny Greer of New Providence; four grandchildren; three sisters Barbara Trimble of Lancaster, Mabel Bennis of Danville and Eva Warner of Holtwood; and three brothers Richard of Lakeland Fla; James of Drumore and Glenn of East Petersburg.

Robert W. Trimble, 81, of 349 West Woods Drive, Lititz, died Thursday at home following a brief illness.
He was the husband of Esther Lanan Trimble, and the late Rachel Webster Trimble, who died in 1989.
Born in Coatesville, he was a son of the late Philip T. and Mary Diem Trimble. He owned the former P.T. Trimble & Son Hardware store in Lititz. Started by his father in 1937, the store ceased operations in 1979. He then worked as a locksmith for 15 years before retiring.
Baptized in the Lutheran faith, he later became a founding member of the Lancaster Monthly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends. In recent years, he also attended St. Luke's United Church of Christ, Lititz.
He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge 587, the Zembo Shrine and the Reading Consistory. He also belonged to the Young Businessmen's League and the Lancaster Conservancy, and was a contributing member of the Ephrata Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He was president of the Lancaster chapter of SHHH from 1994 to 1996 and served on the board of the Lancaster Peace Education Committee.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Philip W., husband of Ruby M. Trimble, and David B., husband of Nancy M. Trimble, both of Lititz.

Esther L. Trimble, 75, of Landis Homes, 1001 E. Oregon Road, Lititz, died Tuesday evening at St. Joseph Hospital after an illness of several years.
Mrs. Trimble was a retired regional manager for Avon. She previously was a director of volunteers for the American Red Cross.
She was a member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ, Lititz.
She volunteered in the library at St. Joseph Hospital, was a former board member of the Lancaster Literacy Council and was involved in environmental preservation.
She was a soloist at many churches and sang in several music groups, including Heritage Chorale and Ephrata Cloister Choir.
A 1942 graduate of Norristown High School, she earned her certificate of music education from the former West Chester State College in 1959 and her bachelor's degree in religion from Elizabethtown College.
Born in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late Horace H. and Frances Mayberry Lanan.
She was the wife of the late Robert Trimble.
Surviving are a daughter, Marilyn Martin of Santa Cruz, Calif.; a son, Allan, married to Susan Martin of Swansea, S.C.; four brothers, Horace, married to Joyce Lanan of Hockessin, Del., Fred, married to Jean Lanan of Milwaukee, Kenneth, married to Barbara Lee Lanan of Westminster, Calif., and Charles, married to Lona Lanan of Schwenksville; and a sister, Frances, married to William Wisdom of Bryn Mawr.

Freda N. Sprout Trimble, 90, of Eagan, Minn., formerly of Holtwood, Lancaster and 160 Oak Knoll Circle, Millersville, died Monday evening at her granddaughter Tina Sowells' home, where she had lived for 1 1/2 years.
Mrs. Trimble was a member of Chestnut Level United Presbyterian Church.
Born in Conowingo, Md., she was the daughter of the late William and Sara McCullough Sprout.
Her husband, Wilmer Trimble, died in 1975.
Besides her granddaughter, she is survived by another granddaughter, Fresena of Connecticut; a grandson, Timothy of Florida; and two great-grandchildren.

Barbara E. Trimble
Barbara Elaine Reed Trimble 64, of 644 Conowingo Road, Quarryville, died at Lancaster General Hospital on November 7th due to complications resulting from MultipIe Myeloma.
She was the wife of Levis "Mike" Trimble. They were married 18 years. Barb graduated from Solanco High School in 1957. Some of her fond early memories stemmed from her involvement in field hockey and being a majorette.
After high school, she attended Maryland Casualty School and, worked for John Peiffer Insurance Co. as a secretary. Peiffer, himself was a mentor and she carried his work ethic throughout her career. For sixteen years she was a secretary at Solanco School District in the Administration Department. She retired from the Solanco School District.After her retirement, she had a desire to further her education and graduated at the top of her Classas as a Medical Assistant from "Lancaster County Career & Technical Center.
She was a church secretary for Memorial United Methodist Church, Quarryville. She was a member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, and attended Memorial United Methodist Church, both of Quarryville. She was the daughter of the late, Edith (Hershour) Matt, and the late Charles H. Reed. The step-daughter of the late Lewis J. Matt Jr., and Anita C. Reed, Peach Bottom. She is survived by one daughter, Dette (Dee) Steele, wife of Ivan Steele, Willow Street; one sister, Shirley A., wife of Peter Muellen, Lancaster; one brother, Martin C. Reed, husband of Connie, York; one step-brother, Lewis J. Matt III, Holbrook. She is also survived by two grandsons who will dearly miss their "Gammy", Cameron Isaac and Braden Matthew Steele.

Kautz was employed at Lancaster Leaf Tobacco Co. for 12 years. He previously worked at the former C.E. Brubaker & Sons, Lancaster, for 23 years and at Howard E. Smith Co. for two years.
He was a Protestant.
Kautz was a member of In and Out Club, Lancaster.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling and darts.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Casper J. Kautz and Beatrice Myers Kautz Martin.
His wife, Yvonne E. Ruth Kautz, died in 1989.

Dr. Robert Abner Shaub, 83, of 513 Faith Drive, Calvary Fellowship Homes, died there Monday morning after a brief illness.
Shaub was a self-employed doctor of chiropractic for more than 40 years in Quarryville, where he had made his home. He retired in 1986.
He was a member and past deacon of Calvary Church.
Shaub was a graduate of the Palmer School of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. He was a charter member of American Chiropractic Association and a member of Barnes Hill Hunting Club, Bradford County.
A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was a seaman first class and served as a chaplain's assistant and organist in the Pacific.
He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing and genealogy.
A gourmet cook, he published a cookbook.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Abner D. and Mae A. George Shaub.
He was married to Dorothy Landis Shaub for 59 years in October.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Stephen, husband of Ann Murry Shaub of Billings, Mont., and Timothy, husband of Joy Diether Shaub of Lancaster; three daughters, Jean, wife of Herbert Hobson of Wabash, Ind., Carole, wife of Dr. Donald Schnapf of Willow Street, and Susan, wife of Jeffrey Mussmon of Pequea; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Trimble, Mary H. Shaub, daughter of Christina Newton and Lida (Hertzler) Shaub, was born at Lancaster, Pa., Sept. 16, 1914; died at Mennonite Home Lancaster, Pa., Sept 12, 1986; aged 71 y. She was married to William Robert Trimble, who died on Jan. 6, 1976. She is survived by 2 stepsons (William and Kenneth), 2 stepgrandchildren, and one brother. She was a member of the East Chestnut Street Mennonite Church. Funeral services were held on Sept. 16 at the Gundel Funeral Home, in charge of Ralph Ginder; interment in Rohrerstown Mennonite Cemetery.

Betty Jane Groff, 61, of 5646 of Old Highway, Gap, died Friday morning at Conestoga View after a long illness.
She was the wife of Richard E. Groff
She belonged to Pequea Baptist Church of Gap.
Born in East Drumore Township, she was a daughter. of the late B. Frank and ElIzabeth McCombs Grimsey.
Surviving besides her husband are three daughters, Nancy J., wife of Bruce E. Parmer of Leola, Fay L., wife of William L. Bennett of Lancaster, and Susan M., Wife of Raymond McClarigan of New Providence; three sons, Richard E. Jr., husband of Pat Groff of Cochranville, and John E. and Thomas L., both of Gap; 10 grand-children, and three great-grand-children.
Also surviving are two brothers, Lester Grimsey of Quarryville and Donald, husband of Edna Grimsey of Lancaster, and four sisters, Mary Groff of Quarryville, Marie, wife of Clair Linkey of the Buck, Ruth Kellenberger of Lancaster, and Dorothy Trimble of Mount Joy

Mabel Irene Schmidt, 83, of 336 S. West End Ave., formerly of 37 W. Cottage Ave., Millersville, died Sunday at Hamilton Arms Nursing Center after declining health. .
Mrs. Schmidt worked for 20 years as a housekeeper for the former Millersville State College.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Millersville
She enjoyed reading and jigsaw puzzles.
Born in. Manor Township, she was the daughter of the late Charles M. and Wilhelmina Haddon Trimble.
Surviving are one son, George H. Schmidt of New Providence; two grandsons; and three great-grandsons.

Blair W. Eckman, 87, of 121 Mayfield Drive, Lititz, died Sunday at Brethren Village after a short illness.
He was the husband of GraceE. Demmy. The couple celebrated their 67th anniversary April 14.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Sanders and Jane Trimble Eckman.
He worked as a mechanic for Armstrong World Industries Inc. for 24 years, retiring in 1974.
A member of First Baptist Church of Lancaster, he served as a church deacon and trustee.
Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Doris J., wife of Albert Ward of Leola, and Jane L., wife of Kenneth Cunningham of Brownstown; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ada Pyle of Lancaster

Trimble a retired Dairy farmer, was a 4H leader for many years. He and his wife Verna, have been members of Boehm's United Methodist Church Willow Street for over 40 years
Mrs Trimble is a member and past president of United Workers Circle of Kings Daughters of Drumore.

Trimbeles mark 50 years
Glenn B. and A. Louise Trimble East Petersburg celebrated their 50th wedding aniversary at a party hosted by their children at the Ephrata Recreation center.
The couple married Nov 23, 1946 at St. Mary's Catholic Church by Rev R. Browne. They are members of St. John Neumann Catholic Church.
They are the parents of John husband of Carol, Delaware Ohio;Bonnie wife of Gary SpringmanCelburne Texas; and Karen wife of Ron Hummel, Manheim There are 5 grandchildren
Trimble retired from Lancaster Malleable Casting Co. . He enjoys hunting and fishing.
Mrs Trimble , the former A. Louise Wanger, likes to sew and hunt.
The couple enjoys going to a mountain Cabin.

50th ,anniversary celebrated
Mr. and Mrs. Paul M. Trimble, 2361 Beaver Valley Pike, New Providence, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a surprise reception at the Quarryville Senior Center on June 9 for friends and relatives.
The event was hosted by their daughters.
The couple was married at the home of the bride on June 19, 1941, by Rev. Harry Shepherdson.
They are the parents of two daughters: Goldena T., wife of Robert J. Landis, Quarryville, and Pauline F., wife of Danny L. Greer, New Providence. They have four grandchildren.
Long-time members of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, Quarryville, Mr. Trimble serves as treasurer, trustee and cemctary board member. , Mr. Trimble retired from Agway in 1973 after 30 years of service and now enjoys hunting and farming.
The former Helen Eshleman, Mrs. Trimble is a housewife who enjoys reading and working in her lawn.
