Mary Ritchey, 56, Peach Bottom
Mary A. Ritchey, 56, of 2605 Robert Fulton Hwy., Peach Bot-tom, died Thursday, July 27 at Lancaster General Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born in Roaring Springs, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Frances Weiser Strait. She and her husband, John W. Ritchey, were married for 37 years.
Mrs. Ritchey was a home visitor for the child development program for Lancaster County Community Action Program, retiring in 1991 after 21 years. She was a member of Stateline Baptist Church, near Rising Sun, Md.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Joseph L. of QuarryvilIe; a daughter, Heather L., at home; and four grandchil-dren. ..

Walter Cleveland Ritchie
Walter Cleveland Ritchie, 83, of Bell Manor Road, Conowingo, Md., died of natural causes Sunday at Calvert Manor Healthcare Center, Rising Sun, Md.
He was the husband of Virginia A. Ritchie, who died in 1991.
A carpenter, he worked for the Jackson family for 50 years.
Born in Pilottown, Cecil County, Md., he was a son of the late Grover Cleveland and Lillie Mae McCullough Ritchie. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he served with the 788th Combat Engineers.
He was a life member of Pleasant Grove United lMIethodlst Church, Peach Bottom. A lifelong resident of Cecil County, he graduated in 1934 from Rising Sun High School.
Surviving are a daughter, Ruth Ann Kennedy of Elkton, Md.; two sons, John C. of Pleasant Valley, N.Y., and Robert F. of Conowingo; 11 grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; two brothers, Charles and Frank, both ot Rising Sun; and Beulah Long of Oxford ..
