Jonas was born 19 Feb 1841 in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, Somerset County, PA, son of Rudolph and Jane (Pinkerton) Meyers.
He married Lucy Phillippi about 1860.

Died 03 Sep 1916, and rests, with Lucy, in Kingwood Lutheran Cemertery, Upper Turkeyfoot Township.
