James T. Graham. One of the
venerable farmers residing on the farm where he was born in Mercer county, James
T. Graham is now one of the oldest citizens living within Mercer county,
Pennsylvania, having been born December 8, 1829. His parents were John
and Elizabeth (Buchanon) Graham, both of whom were natives of Ireland and
early settlers in this county. They had three sons and two daughters.
James T. Graham married in 1857, Mary
Ann, daughter of William and Jane (Gilmore) McCoy.
The children born of this union, eight in number were: William
C; Elvira, wife of George Brown; Mary
E., wife of Fred W. Bohlender, of Grove
City; Caroline C., wife of George
Aiken, of Grove City; Viola, wife of Samuel
E. Van Eman, of Grove City and Frank, at
home; and two who are deceased. Mr. and Mrs. Graham
are exemplary Christians and belong to the United Presbyterian Church.
