Mt. Jewett Kinzua Bridge
Mt. Jewett, Pa. Oct. 1, Up Kinzua way they are tuning up the highest railroad bridge in the world for its responsible job
this winter. The Kinzua Bridge has won much fame and a good deal of scientific acclaim in past seasons for its accuracy in weather forcasting.
The way it's done, say scientists, is by vibration. Instruments placed on the loftly structure are said to record pretty accurately the meteorological waves that indicate what the weather conditions will be in the immediate future.
