New Castle Street Car Lines-1896
The deal has been closed by which Richard Quay, of Beaver, and Messrs. Hostettler, Stewart, Kennedy, and Dilworth, of Pittsburg, become owners of the New Castle street-car lines and gain an interest in the electric light plant and power house. They are now endeavoring to secure the Mahoningtown franchise and the East New Castle line. They will at once improve the lines. It is said that the new company is also after what is called Brinton Park, or Big Run Falls. They want the latter place for picnic purposes and will make a Summer resort of it.
