Greenfield Township
Greenfield in 1876

The information presented below is taken from an 1876 platt map of Greenfield Township, contributed by Nori Smith (Thanks Nori!).
Erie County is divided into numbered tracts of land. Each tract contains varying numbers of individual properties, depending upon the sizes of those properties. Greenfield Township covers a little over 48 tracts of land, or approximately 19,723 acres. In the table that follows, there are over 300 properties identified. The platt map has been divided into smaller graphic files for quicker loading. Here is a sample from the map showing Greenfield and Colt's Station.

(Note: Greenfield Township tract numbers are not consecutive, ie. 1,2,3,4 ... but instead are in groups of six, i.e. 9 - 15, 29 - 35, 49 - 55, 68 - 74, 86 - 92, 100 - 106 and 113 - 119.) Some properties cross tract boundaries and therefore may be listed more than once, with more than one tract number.
