Barbara has provided the following information concerning this school building: "According to the 1865 Atlas of Erie County, Summit Township, this school is shown on the property of the heirs of Daniel and Lyman Way. Adjacent property is owned by John L. Way. Currently, this is on Shunpike Road near Osborne Road. The old school bell remains in our family being passed to my mother and now me. Originally when I took the photos I was trying to go for the before and after look, hence the actual building showing on the side of the picture. By the way, the same Atlas shows a school located near the Methodist Church and Cemetery. The property nearby looks to be listed as heirs of Parson's and ,P. Tenbroke (Tenbroke may not be spelled correctly)."
