Site visitor Harriet Wittman provided the below poster in March 2001 concerning her Great Great Grandfather, Dr. D. P. Kayner. The provided information is being posted at this time. From limited information available, it appears that the Doctor was only in Erie a short period of time around 1867. A patient testimonial has been included dated in that year. Note that the Doctor's office was in "South Erie", at State and Green Streets. According to Nelson's History of Erie County, Green Street became 19th Street.

In my illness last January, Dr. Kayner examined and correctly described my condition and perscribed remedies that relieved me before coming to the house, while other physicians were at my bedside despairing of my recovery; had it not been for the timely assistance of Dr. Kayner i must have died. I feel I am indebted for my life to his extraordinary skill.
