Doyle, November 6, 1915, James Doyle. Funeral from the residence of his son, John P Doyle, 423 Ross St. Tuesday morning , at 8:30 oclock, and from St Anns church at 9:oclock. Friends invited.
William Doyle, sixty-two, 950 E.5th St, an oiler at Hammermill Paper
Co, for the last 34 years, succumbed of a heart attack in the Avenue Theater, 810
East Ave at 7;30 Monday according to coroner Warren W. Wood.
A fire Dept inhalator squad under assistant Chief Edward Flannagan was
summoned by Theater employees, but Doyle was pronounced dead after efforts
to revive him for an half an hour failed. Dr. JC Law, 819 East Ave was
summoned from his office nearby.
Doyle, a native of Erie, survived by his wife, Emma Schuda Doyle, three
sons Vernon, Ernest, and Major Clarence Doyle, with the US
Army, at Fort Dix, NJ, and two daughters Mrs Leonard Dougan, and
Miss Beartice Doyle. Funeral Services, under the direction of A Brugger
and Sons funeral home, will be held in the funeral home and Saint Anns Church
at a time to be announced.

Edgar E. Doyle, Retired Erie Fire Captain
Edgar E. (Butch) Doyle, 92 of 423 Ross St, died at his home Monday, July
4th, 1994. He was born in Erie June 16th 1902, the son of the late John
and Arvesta Doyle. He was a member of the Erie Fire Dept for more then
37 Years, retiring with the rank of Fire Captain. He spent his lifetime
following Erie Fire Companies and there movements, and spent his retirement
with the guys at Flanagans Service Station, East 5th Street and East Ave. He
was a long time member of Saint Anns Roman Catholic Church. He was a life
member of the Sunflower Club and a member of East Erie Turners and CYS Club.
He was proceeded in death by his wife, Agnes Chudzicki Doyle and several
brothers and sisters. Survivors include two sons, Edgar M. Doyle of
Alpharetta GA, and Thomas J. Doyle of Erie, and a granddaughter. Friends
may call at A Brugger and Sons Funeral Home, 449 E. 9th St, today from 2 to 5
and 7 to 9pm and may attend a service there Thursday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a
funeral Mass at St Anns Roman Catholic Church, 921 East Ave, at 11a.m.
Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery.
Wednesday,April 20 1966. Mrs Emma Schuda Doyle, residence 1739 West 11th St, died on Thursday February 22nd, 1973 at Hamot Medical Center. Mother of Vernon C Doyle, Ernest W. Doyle, Clarence A Doyle, Mrs Leonard Dougan, all of Erie and Mrs Beatrice Tansey of Brookville Pa. Friends may call at Donald C. Burton Funeral Home, 602 West 10th St, on Wednesday from 7-9pm and Thursday from 2-5 and 7-9 PM and are invited to attend prayer services on Friday morning at 8:30a.m. At the funeral home, followed by a Requiem Mass at St Patricks Church, 130 East 4th at 9oclock, internment in Calvery Cemetery.
February 22, 1973. Mrs June Dougan age 50 residence 1739 West 11th
St, Erie died on Thursday, Feb 22, 1973 at Hamot Medical Center. Wife of
Leonard M. Dougan, mother of Linda Dougan, Patricia Dougan
and Diane Dougan all of Erie. Sister of Clarence Ernest and
Vernon Doyle and Mrs Beatrice Tansey all of Erie.
Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home 602 West 10th St on Thursday 7 to 9
and Friday 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 and are invited to services on Sat at the
funeral home at 10:30am, followed by mass of resurrection at St Judes Church
at 11:00 a.m. Prayer services on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
Vernon W. Doyle, was Conrail Conductor for 38 Years.
Vernon W. Doyle, 69, 191 Hidden Lane, North East Pa, died Sunday March 14
1999, as a result of a car accident. He was born in Erie PA July 7, 1929,
son of the late Vernon C. and Lynnette Otto Doyle.
He had worked as a Conductor for Conrail for 38 years, retiring in 1991. A US
Army Veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Sienbuerger Club and
American Legion.
Survivors include two sons, Mark V. Doyle of
Mayfield Ohio and Terry W. Kelly of Lynwood Wash. Three daughters,
Lynetter Caldwell and her husband Larry, of Ponchatoula, La.
Michelle Schwertner of Chesterlynn, Ohio and Lisa Aaron and her
husband Stuart of Chardon Ohio. Two brothers Ronald Doyle of
Sherman Oaks Calif and Duane Doyle of Aurora, Ohio, nine grandchildren and
his former wife Donna R. Kelly of Moses Lake Wash.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 7 to 9 PM at Brugger Funeral Home, West
38th St and attend a service there on Thursday at noon.
Burial will be at Erie County Memorial Gardens.
Leonard Dougan, 57, accident victim.
Leonard M. Dougan 57, of RD 1 West Springfied Pa, died Thursday in a
traffic accident on Route 99, near McKean. Born in Grant Mich, he was the son of
William amd Mildred Dougan. He was a US Navy Veteran of World War
II, and had been employed by consolidated Rail Corp as a brake conductor for the
past 35 years. He was a member of South Erie Turners the American Legion and
the United Tranportation Union.
He was proceded in death by his wife, June Doyle Dougan and a brother
Millard Dougan of Fremont Mich. Survived by three daughters Linda Dougan,
Patricia Dougan and Diane Dougan of Erie, a sister Mrs William
Myrick of Cheyanne Wyoming, his parents of Grant Mich, two granchildren and
several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Brugger Home for Funerals, West
38th St. Saturday from 7 to 9pm and Sunday and Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9,
and are invited to services there Tuesday at 9:30 am followed by a funeral Mass
at St George Church at 10am. The parish vigil will be held at 4pm Monday.
Internment will be in Calvery Cemetery.

Ernest W. Doyle
Ernest W. Doyle, 70, 4710 Oakwood died Monday at Saint Vincent Health
Center. He was born in Erie May 9 1910 a son of the late William Doyle
and Emma Schuda Doyle. Mr Doyle was a retired finishing Supervisor from
the Hammermill Paper Company, where he worked for 41 years. He was a member of
St Peters Cathedral. Suvivors include his widow, Beartice Griffith Doyle
, four daughters, Gloria Hogenmiller, Karen Stafford,
Kathleen Carey and Kimberly Zulifoff. A son Richard Ernest
Doyle of Troy Mich a sister Beatrice Tansey, a brother Vernon C.
Doyle of Erie and 12 grandchildren. Friends may call at the Brugger Home
for Funerals 38th and Greengarden, tonight 7-9 and Wednesday from 2-5 and
7-9pmand may attend a service there Thursday at 11am. Burial will be in Gate
of Heaven Cemetery.
Vernon C. Doyle
Vernon C. Doyle, 81, 345 W. 21st died Monday Sept 18th 1989 at Saint
Vincent Health Center. He was botn in Erie Aug 4, 1908 a son of William Doyle
and Emma Schuda Doyle. A graduate of St Anns grade School, he
attended East High School. Mr Doyle worked as a machine tender at Hammermill
Paper Co for 46 years, retiring 16 years ago. He was a life long member of the
Seinberger Club. Survivors include his widow Lynette S. Doyle, three sons
Vernon Doyle Jr, Duane Doyle and Rondald Doyle. One sister
, Beatrice Tansey. Friends may call at Brugger Home for Funerals West
38th St today 7-9 and Wednesday from 2-5 and 7-9 and attend a service there
Thursday at 9am. Burial will be at Erie County Memorial Gardens.
Beatrice H. Doyle Tansey, was a Member of the Sienberger Auxiliary.
Beartice H. Doyle Tansey, 68, 2562 W.24th St, died Monday Dec 6 1993, at her
residence after a long illness. Born in Erie on June 17th 1925, she was the
daughter of Emma Schuda Doyle and William Doyle. She was a graduate
of East High School and was a member of the Seinberger Ladies Auxiliary.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, John G. Tansey, three brothers
Vernon, Ernest, and Clarence Doyle, a sister, June Dougan
and a grandson Vincent L. Tansey of Brookville Pa.
Survivors include four sons, John Tansy of Pleasenville NJ, James
Doyle of Erie, Jeffery Doyle of Brookville Pa, and Jay Tansey
of Sacramento, California, 11 grandchildren and several neices and nephews.
Friends may call at the Brugger Home for Funerals West 38th St and
Greengarden, today from 7-9 and Tursday 2-5 and 7-9. A service will be held
Friday at 1pm at the funeral home with the Rev. Dennis Veltri officiating.
Burial will be in Calvery Cemetery.

Clarence A. Larry Doyle
Clarence A. (Larry) Doyle, 61, 821 Poplar St, died suddenly at Hamot
Medical Center Wednesday. He was a parts manager at Poplar White Truck Inc,
where he had been employed for twentey years. He was a member of St Peter
Cathedral and a Veteran of W.W.11. Serving as a Colonel in the U.S. Army. Born
in Erie on June 16th, 1912, the son of the late William and Emma
Schuda Doyle. He was preceded in death by a sister Mrs June Dougan
Feb 1973. Suvivors include two brothers, Ernest and Vernon Doyle,
and a sister Mrs. Beatrice Tansey, Erie. Friends will be received
Thursday from 7-10pm and on Friday from 2-5 and 7-10pm at the Donald C. Burton
Funeral Home, 602 West tenth St. A prayer service will be Sat at 8:30am at the
funeral home followed by Mass of the Resurrection at St Peters Cathedral at 9am.
Agnes Chudzicki Doyle
Agnes A. Chudzicki Doyle, 75 of 423 Ross St, died Tuesday at St Vincent
Health Center. She was born in Erie on Feb 8, 1907, daughter of the late
Michael and Margaret Chudzicki. A life long Erie resident, she
was a member of St anns Church. Survivors include her husband, Edgar E. Doyle
, one sister Mrs. Martha Brown of Carthage, NC, one grandaughter,
and several neices and nephews. Friends may call at the A. Brugger and Sons
Funeral Home, 449 E. 9th St Wednesday from 7-9 and Thursday 2-5 and 7-9. Services
will be at the funeral home Friday at 11:30am, followed by a funeral Mass at St
Anns Church at noon. Internment will be in the family plot in Trinity cemetery.
James Doyle, Nov 3 1952, 616 Holland St
Seventy-seven year old James Doyle, 616 Holland st, died in his home after a
illness of two years. Suviving are his wife Katherine Liebel Doyle, A son
James Doyle Jr, two daughters Mrs. Floyd Hitchens, Lorraine, Ohio.
and Miss Isabele Doyle and Mrs Henretta Hodapp. Friends may call
at Quinn funeral home where services will be held Thursday at 8:30am and from St
Patricks Church at 9am. Burial will be in Calvery Cemetery.

Patricia Ann Dougan, Taught Crafts and Cooking at Barber Center
Patrica Ann Dougan 406 West Seventh St, Erie died Thursday Oct 25th 2001 at
hr home. She was born In Erie Dec 18 1964. The daughter of the late Leonard
Dougan and June Doyle Dougan. She taught cooking and crafts at the
Gertrude Barber Center. She graduated from McDowell High School in 1984.
Survivors include two sisters Diana Loomis and her husband John and
Linda Dougan. Two neices Colleen Adams and Lindsey Shatto.
Two nephews Brian Brogdon and Gabriel Shatto.
Friends may call today from 5-8 at Quinn Funeral Home, with a service to
follow.
