Military Awards - Medal of Honor

Contributed by Craig Sanders

Senior Master Sergeant Craig Sanders of the US Air Force has researched and submitted the information below. The Congressional Medal of Honor is the highest decoration awarded to a military serviceman or woman by our nation. SMSgt Sanders was born in Erie County and is presently serving in the U.S. military. He discovered that there were several people from Erie County that received the Medal of Honor. It is his desire that we pay tribute and reflect honor to some of Erie County's bravest that paid the ultimate price for our freedom. Anyone having questions or comments concerning the material on this page, please contact Craig Sanders directly.
