Charles Vaun purchased land from Samuel Main at Elk Creek, Erie, Pennsylvania.
Film 0,870,359 Land Records Vol 3 pg 449 shows a transaction from Samuel Main
to Charles Vaughn the NE corner formerly owned by Obediah Taylor deeded to
Nathan Lamphere, township line along the bank of the creek. 30 acres for $114.

This indenture made the first day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and thirty four between Charles Vaun and Elisabeth his wife of
the Township of Elk Creek in the county of Erie and State of Pennsylvania of
the first part and John Thompson of the township of Elk Creek county and state
aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the Said party of the first part
for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and twenty dollars lawful
money of the United States to them in hand paid by the said party of the second
part the receipt whereof is hereby confessed and acknowledged Have granted
bargained sold aliened .... released and confirmed and by these presents do
grant bargain sell alien enfeoff release and confirm unto the Said party of the
Second part and to his heirs and assigns forever all that certain piece or
parcel of land situate in the Township of Elk Creek in the County of Erie and
State of Pennsylvania and bounded as follows viz beginning at a post the North
West Corner of Eli Cotten’s [should read Colton ] land thence North one hundred
and thirty two perches to a Hemlock tree Thence West twenty four perches and
six links to a Hemlock tree thence South one hundred and thirty two perches to
a post Thence East twenty four perches six tenths to the place of beginning
Containing twenty acres of land be the same more or less being a part of Tract
No. 488 four hundred & eighty eight Also a piece of Land of two perches width
and thrity Six perches and nine Links in length now occupied as a road or land
leading from the aforementioned Land to Publick highway it being a part of the
above mentioned tract. Together with all and Singular the buildings
improvements rights Liberties privileges hereditaments and appurtenances
whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversions
and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and also all the Estate right
Title interest property claims and demand whatsoever of them the Said party of
the first part in Law or Equity or otherwise however or in and to the Same To
have and to hold the Said described hereditaments and premises hereby granted
or mentioned or intended So to be with the appurtenances unto the Said party
of the Second part and to his heirs and assigns for ever and the Said Party of
the first part for themselves heirs executors and administrators do hereby
covenant promise and agree to and with the Said party of the Second part his
heirs and assigns by these presents that they the Said party of the first part
and their heirs the above mentioned and described premises hereby granted with
the appurtenances unto the Said party of the Second part his heirs and assigns
against them the Said party of the first part and their heirs and assigns and
against all and Every other person or persons whomsoever law... claiming to or
claim the Same or any part thereof Shall and will Warrant and forever defend by
these presents in Witness whereof the Said party of the first part have
hereunto set their hands and Seals the day and year first above written.

She being examined by me Separate from her Said husband and acknowledged the above indenture to be their act and deed to the end that the Same might be recorded as such. This indenture made the twenty-fifth day of February in the year of our Lord
one Thousand eight-hundred and thirty seven Between Francis Orvis of Elk Creek
township in the County of Erie and state of Pennsylvania and Zeruiah, his wife,
of the first part and Charles Vaun of Elk Creek township in the County and
State aforesaid of the second part Witnesseth that the said party of the first
part for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars money of the
United States to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part at and
before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt and payment
whereof we do hereby acknowledge and thereof acquit and forever discharge the
said party of the second part his heirs executors and administrators by these
presents have granted bargained sold aliened, enfessed ?? Released and
confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien enfeoff ?? Release
and confirm unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns
all that certain piece or parcel of land situate in Elk Creek township in the
County of Erie and State of Pennsylvania and bounded as follows viz: Beginning
at the South west corner of tract No. Five hundred and thirteen on the township
line thence east seventy three perches and three fourths of a perch to a post
thence north ninety five perches to a post thence west seventy three perches
and three fourths of a perch to a post Thence South ninety four perches to the
place of beginning Containing forty acres of land and the allowance of six
percent for roads to be the same more or less it being a part of tract No. Five
hundred and thirteen (513) together with all and singular the buildings
improvements rights liberties privileges herediment and appurtenances
whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the revisions
and remainders rents fines and profits thereof. And also all the estate right
title interest property claim and demands and whatsoever of these the said
party of the first part in law or equity or otherwise howsoever of in to or
out of the same. To have and to hold the described land herediments and
premises hereby granted mentioned or intended to be with the appurtenances
unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever. And the
said party of the first part their heirs executors and administrators do
hereby covenant promise grant and agree to and with the said party of the
second part his heirs and assigns by these presents that they the said party
of the first part their heirs the above mentioned and described premises hereby
granted or mentioned or intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said
party of the second part against other person or persons whomsoever lawfully
claiming or to claim the same and any part thereof shall and will warrant and
forever defend by these presents. In witness whereof the parties of these
presents hereunto interchangeably set their hands and seals the day and year

contents hereof to her fully made she voluntarily consenting hereunto in
Witness wherefo I have hereunto set my hand and seal at Elk Creek this 25th
day of February AD 1837.

This indenture made the thirteenth day of November in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and forty seven Between Charles Vaun of Elk Creek
township in the County of Erie and state of Pennsylvania and Elizabeth his wife
of the first part and Berzilla Robberts of the same place above written of the
second part Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in
consideration of the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars money of the United
States to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part at and before
the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt and payment whereof
they do hereby acknowledge. And therefore acquit and forever discharge the said
Berzilla Robberts of the second part his heirs executors and administrators and
by these presents do grant bargain sell alien enleoff release and confirm unto
the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns all that certain
parcel of land situate in Elk Creek township in the County of Erie and State of
Pennsylvania and bounded as follows namely Beginning at the South east corner
of Tract No. Five hundred thirteen on the township line thence east seventy
perches and three fourths of a perch to a post thence north ninety four perches
to a post thence west seventy three perches and three fourths of a perch to a
post thence south ninety four perches to the place of beginning containing
forty acres of land and the allownace of six percent for roads it be the same
more or less it being part of Tract No. Five hundred thirteen (513) Together
with all and singular the buildings rights improvements liberties privileges
hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging appertaining
and revisions and remainders rents fines and profits thereof. And also all the
estate right title interest property claim and demands and whatsoever of these
the said party of the first part in law or equity or otherwise howsoever of in
to or out of the same To have and to hold the said party of the second part his
heirs and assigns to the only proper use benefit and behalf of the said party
of the second part his heirs and assigns forever. And the said party of the
first part his heirs executors and administrators do hereby covenant promise
grant and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs the
above mentioned and described premises hereby granted or mentioned or intended
so to be with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part against
all and every other person or persons whomsoever will warrant and forever
defend by these presents. In witness whereof the parties of these presents
