Information concerning Captain McIntyre associated with Erie County:  Although born 3/15/1839 in Villanova, NY, his school days were spent in the public schools, and the “High school” in Erie, Pennsylvania, from which he graduated.  He is a Civil War veteran, although unknown if he enlisted from Erie.

He was married 9/13/1862 to Lucy N. Richards, although the article does not state where but presumed to be Erie.

Lucy N. Richards was born in Erie County PA on 11/11/1844.  Her parents were of Puritan blood and revolutionary stock.  She was educated in the public and academic schools of that day and began teaching school at the age of 17 years.

Captain McIntyre moved to Missouri in 1866 and then on to other points.  Although he and his wife had seven children, there is no mention of any of them being born in Erie.
