These pictures and information about them have been provided by Bekky Tatar-Kinsey. She reports that she found a box of items that her grandfather, Richard Walter Tatar, saved from his time in the Coast Guard during WWII. Inside there were several photographs from some of his friends from Erie that she wanted to share. Bekky indicated that she has two more photographs, one of Helen Vargo and one of Marie Olsen of 1240 Buffalo Road, but she was unable to get a clear scan of them to contribute. Photographs 1 through 3 below are of Mary Elizabeth Morrison. An address on the back of the photograph is 1056 East 35th Street. Photograph 4 is Dorothy “Dottie” Gromacki and June Magee, taken in 1943. The address on back of photograph is 2320 East Avenue. Photograph 5 is Dottie Gromacki by herself and is dated 10 Dec 1942. Photograph 6 is Jane Cooper with no added information. Finally, photograph 7 is Edith Kuhn with no added information. Any inquiries about these photographs may be directed to Bekky Tatar-Kinsey.
