Altstadt-Reilly Wedding

Altstadt – Reilly
Thursday at 9 am occurred the marriage of Mr. Frank Altstadt and Miss Ellen (Nellie) Reilly. The wedding took place at St. Peter’s Cathedral, Rev. Father Cantlin officiating. The choir rendered Weber’s Mass in a faultless manner, which added greatly to the solemnity of the beautiful ceremony. The bridal party entered the church to the sweet strains of the organ and proceeded to the altar, where they were made man and wife. The bride looked charming in a dainty creation of white tucked chiffon with real lace trimming. She wore a veil and carried white bridal roses. The groom wore the conventional black.
The bridesmaid, Miss Anna Reilly, of Buffalo, who is a cousin of the bride, was attired in a pretty white silk mull gown, with Valenciennes trimming. She carried pink roses and wore an aigrette. The groom’s best man was Mr. W. J. Flynn.
After the nuptial mass, the party was driven to the home of the bride, on East Tenth Street, where an elaborate wedding breakfast was served. Only the immediate members of both families were present. The couple was the recipient of many beautiful and useful presents.
The bride is well known in east-side society circles and is a general favorite with all who know her. The groom, who is a member of the Knights of Columbus, is employed at the Erie Malleable Iron Works, and has a host of friends who will extend congratulations and best wishes to him and the estimable young lady whom he took for a bride this morning.
The happy couple left on an afternoon train for the east. They will visit the Pan American at Buffalo, and other eastern cities. Upon their return, they will be at home to their friends at No. 917 German Street.
