EMPORIUM HIGH TO GRADUATE TONIGHT

FINE PROGRAM PREPARED FOR GREATEST EVENT IN OUR SCHOOLS' HISTORY
The annual commencement exercises of the Emporium High School will be held in the Opera House this evening, beginning at 8:15 o'clock. Every preparation has been made to make this the most successful event in the history of the school. Teachers and class have worked hard to bring about this happy culmination of their efforts, and that a large audience will be present there is but little question.
Misses Charlotte Jessop, Dorothy Howard, Helen Kenly, and Charles Prime have been selected by the class to speak this evening. Each has prepared a suitable essay, which will be interesting in its entirety. The members of the class will wear the regulatory gray gowns, approved several years ago by the Educational Committee of the State of Pennsylvania.
The principal address of the evening will be delivered by Dr. Charles Calvert Ellis. Dr. Ellis is no stranger to Emporium or Cameron county. He has already appeared at a Shippen Township High School commencement and was one of the speakers at the annual institute of the teachers of Cameron county. His subject will be "The Biggest Word in the Dictionary."
