Kate Wilcox Yancey, 91, of North Little Rock, a homemaker of the Pentecostal faith, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, in Fort Worth.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Noel Yancey and one son, Billy F. Yancey. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Nolen and Judy Yancey of Fort Worth; daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Bill Speck of North Little Rock; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 23, at Wilson-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Nolen Yancey officiating. Interment was in Mulberry Cemetery.; nlrt2/11/1999

YelvingtonJuanita B.Juanita Yvonne Bullock Yelvington, 64, daughter of the late Reverend David Aster and Maggie Knight Bullock Sr., died Saturday, Feb. 1, in Pine Bluff.

Born in Star City, She was a graduate of Monticello High School and owned with her husband of 47 years, Kennie Ray Yelvington, Abby's Attic Antiques for more than 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985.

She was a member of the Second Baptist Church of Pine Bluff, and the Pines Chapter, #417 Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by one daughter, Cinda Karen Yelvington of North Little Rock; one sister, Betty Jo Gooden of Montgomery, Ala.; and one brother David Aster Bullock Jr. of Mobile, Ala.

Graveside services were held Monday, Feb. 3, at Lacy Cemetery, with the Rev. Ray Floyd officiating.; nlrt2/13/97

YorkAgnesAgnes York, 89, of North Little Roc, widow of Harrell York, died Saturday, Feb. 9. She was a homemaker and a member of First Assembly of God Church in North Little Rock.

She is survived by three sons, Archie York of Appleton, Ark., Bobby York of Houston, Texas and Kenneth York of Damascus, Ark.; three daughters, Elizabeth Johnson of Perryville, Helen Wagner of Waynesville, Mo. and Norma Hilliard of Kingsland, Ark.; one sister, Jewel York of North Little Rock; 23 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 10, at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Mayflower Cemetery.; nlrt2/13/97

YoungMacelMacel Young, 89, of North Little Rock, died Monday, May 29. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lilburn Young. She is survived by a sister, Velma Bryles of Michigan and several nieces and nephews.

Robert C. "Bob" Younts, 48, of North Little Rock, died Wednesday, Feb. 12. Survivors include one son, Chris Younts; two daughters, Rachel Younts and Katie Younts, all of North Little Rock; three brothers, Jimmy and Bill Younts, both of North Little Rock and Tom Younts of White Hall; and Robert's fiancee, Linda Whitaker. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Halter.

A funeral mass was held Tuesday, Feb. 18 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will be in Little Rock National Cemetery.

YountsSue L.Sue L. Younts, 62, of North Little Rock, a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Pine Bluff, died Thursday, April 13.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Michael Groves of North Little Rock; three grandchildren, Thomas, Taylor and Michelle; one brother, Eldon "Dell" Love of Little Rock; and sister, Barba Swartz also of Little Rock.

Bernard J. Zahm, 81, of Sherwood, a volunteer with Baptist Memorial Medical Center for more than 25 years who donated more than 14,300 hours of dedicated service to the hospital, died Monday, Sept. 11.

Preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy M. Zahm, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Cathy Zahm of Arvada, Colo.; two daughters, Donna O'Donnell of Sherwood and Debbie Hinchliffe and her husband, Gerry of Maumelle; grandchildren, Michelle Hensen and husband, Paul of Thornton, Colo., Brandi Cobb and husband, Dr. J.C. Cobb of Maumelle, J.D. O'Donnell and wife Kendall of North Little Rock, Renee Gibson and husband Richard of Mabelvale, Jason Schrader of Arcola, Mo.; and two great-grandchildren, Cody Gibson and Hayden Cobb.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 14, at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Luke Flasher officiating. Entombment followed at Rest Hills Memorial Mausoleum.

ZajacJeannette E.Jeannette E. Zajac, 56, of Marche died October 13, 1998. She was a certified registered nurse anesthetist and a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.

Survivors include her husband, Marion Zajac; two sons, Matthew Zajac of Conway and David Zajac of Little Rock; daughter; Suzanne Niedzwiedz of Marche; two grandchildren, Sarah and Rebecca Niedzwiedz; two sisters, Rae Ann Davis of Arizona and Michaela Fitzhugh of Little Rock; and her mother, Blanche Badela of Little Rock.

Paul Martin Zander, 88, of Little Rock, died Sunday, Oct 4.

He graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in civil engineering.

He achieved the rank of commander while serving in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Zander served as Little Rock City Engineer during the years of 1948-49, owned Paul Zander & Co. Engineers and was employed with the U.S. Corps of Engineers. He was a member of the Gideons and the Little Rock Engineering Club.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Zander, daughter, Bettianne Jackson of Hamburg; son, Paul M Zander II of Crossett; four grandchildren, Kevin Johnson, John Paul Johnson, Kerry Garner and Jennifer Weest; and a sister and brother, Ruth Adele Mabry and Robert Zander, both of Florida.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Life Unlimited Christian Fellowship with the Rev. Jay Blevins officiating.

Burial was in Little Rock National Cemetery.

V. "Red" Jr.
Sherman V. "Red" Zinn, Jr., 78, of North Little Rock, died Monday, Jan. 31. He was in the U.S. Navy in World War II and serviced on the USS Essex. He retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, played fast-pitch softball, was a member of Coast Guard Auxiliary, Crescent Lodge #403, Masonic Lodge and the Park Hill Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Zinn. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Irene Brinkley Zinn; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and David Cooper of North Little Rock and Helen and David Helms of Pine Bluff; three grandchildren, Jennifer Devine and husband, Jeff, and Stacey Barnett and Samantha Helms; and a great-granddaughter, Jennifer Katelyn Barnett.

Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 4, at Park Hill Baptist Church with Dr. S. Cary Heard officiating. Interment was in Edgewood Memorial Park. The family requests that memorials be made to the Park Hill Baptist Church Building Fund; nlrt2/10/2000
