Rebecca Sue Widmer, 37, of North Little Rock, a graduate of the University of Arksansas at Little Rock and a business woman, died Sunday, Jan. 21.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Pi Beta Phi, Special Olympics and the Junior League of North Little Rock.

She is survived by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Raymond Widmer of Dallas; a brother, James Widmer of Fayetteville; and a sister, Dawn Widmer of New Orleans.

She is survived by her husband, William R. Wilbourn of North Little Rock; two daughters, Jo Soos of North Little Rock and Jeannette Shirley of Mountain Home; one sons, William R. Wilbourn Jr. of North Little Rock; one brother, Jimmy Newsum of Rome, Georgia; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Bette Jo Shipp Williams, 71, of Little Rock, died Monday, April 26. Bette retired as an official court reporter, Second Division. She served the Pulaski County Circuit Clerk's Office for eighteen years.

She was active in the United Methodist Women Group at Primrose United Methodist Church where she was a member. She was a volunteer at American Red Cross in the blood donor center and was actively involved with the Pulaski County Extension Homemaker Council at Sweet Home and completed one study in Bible Study Fellowship.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Betty Ratcliffe of Little Rock; a daughter and son-in-law, Michael and Sandy Boultinghouse of North Little Rock; a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Jane Shipp of Suffield, Connecticut; five grandchildren, Adrianne Fry of Memphis, Tenn., Jennifer Ratcliffe of Alabama, Michael Ratcliffe of Little Rock, Mary Lauren Boultinghouse of North Little Rock and Sam Boultinghouse of North Little Rock; a great-granddaughter, Olivia Fry.

He served as a Marine in World War II and saw action in the Pacific include the bombing of Pearl Harbor and Bouganville.

He was a journeyman electrician and a member of IBEW #295. A member of Marshall Road Baptist Church, he was an ordained Baptist deacon and also a member of Mt. Sinai Lodge and a master mason.

Charles Larry Wilson, 60, of Benton, died Friday, Dec. 1. He was of the Methodist faith. He was a petty officer second class in the U.S. Navy from 1958 until 1961. He was a dedicated employee of the Department of Environmental Qality for 19 years and deputy director since 1989.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hugh Carroll Wilson; a brother, Roddy Wilson and a nephew, Reed Wilson.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Baring Cross Baptist Church. He was also a member of Elks Lodge #1004 and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lynette Hooks, and a sister, Ercell Dean.

Apparently recovered from the effects of swallowing a safety pin last Saturday, Paul Leon Wittaker, nine months old son of Mr. and Mrs. W.R. Wittaker of Hartman, died while inroute home Wednesday morning after undergoing what was believed to have been a successful operation

The child swallowed the pin Saturday and it lodged in his throat. He was brought to Little Rock Tuesday night an operation was performed and the pin removed. The child stood the operation well and was believed to be on the road to recovery.

The parents were returning the child to their home at Hartman Wednesday morning, when he suddenly lapsed into unconsciousness at Levy, two miles north of the city while riding in an automobile. The child was taken into a nearby home and died within a few moments. Besides his parents he is survived by one brother, Thomas Roy. The body was brought to Owens & Company and will be taken overland to the family home at Hartman.; nlrt4/10/1929

Fielding Hoyle Womack Jr, 76, of Conway, formerly of North Little Rock, died Wednesday, Nov. 19. He served in the Coast Guard during World War II. He retired as a leadman with Criss and Shaver Concrete Company, and was a Methodist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and a brother.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred L. Womack of Conway, a niece and two nephews.

WoodLarryLarry Wood, 43, of North Little Rock, employed by Missouri-Pacific and Union-Pacific Railroad for more than 22 years, died Thursday, July 27, in an automobile accident. He had been an active member of Lakewood United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Mary Wood, an uncle, Sidney Wood.

Mary Musselman Wood, 100, of North Little Rock, died Thursday, March 23. Born in Florence, Ala., to one of the pioneer families of Lauderdale County, she was a charter member of Bethany Baptist Church of North Little Rock.

She was born in Hickory Plains, and was of the Pentecostal faith. Widowed at age 29 when her husband Harold Douglas Woodward died, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Dreher.
