She is survived by her husband, Olaf "Terry" Mobley; three daughters, Sonja Reed, Connie Crace and Brenda Mason, all of North Little Rock; four brothers, Ray Caldwell of California, Gene Caldwell and Joe Isom, both of North Little Rock and William Isom of Connecticut; three sisters, Vadas Caldwell of California, Georgia Wilson of North Little Rock and Ann Head of Little Rock; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 24, at the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel.

Ora Hattie Russell Monk, 94, died Sunday, Jan. 12.

Born in Lonoke County to Charlie and Gertrude Russell, she was married to her husband Arlie M. Monk for 78 years.

Ora and Arlie taught at several different schools in Lonoke and Prairie Counties for nine years before moving to North Little Rock in 1927. She held several different jobs in the Little Rock area over the years and retired from Dillard's Department Store.

She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of North Little Rock where she was active in youth work, a member of the Margaret Blackburn Circle, Kings Sons and Daughters Sunday School Class and VIPS.

She was a member of Jewell Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and was a Past Worthy Matron of Jewell Chapter. She was a member of AARP.

She is survived by her husband Arlie of North Little Rock; a sister, Wilma Ruffin of Hot Springs, daughter and son-in-law Caroly and Harold Smith of Arlington, Tex.; son and daughter-in-law Marion and Margaret Monk of Sherwood; two grandchildren, Scot Smith of Arlington, Tex. and Elizabeth Caipen of Scott, Ark.; three great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 16, at the First United Methodist Church of North Little Rock. Interment was in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Cabot.; nlrt2/6/1997

She is survived by her husband of four years, Edmond Montgomery, three daughters and sons-in-law, Billie Jo and Ken Medlock of Little Rock, Linda and Ray Voytko of Ohio, Nancy and Johnny Shores of Sherwood; three sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Donna Brannen of Texas, Jerry and Donna Brannen of Tennessee, Ronnie and Kristy Brannen of Benton; two step-daughters, Mary Jane Jordon and Johnny of Tennessee, and Patricia Lamson and Eddie of California; 14 grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchldren; and two sisters, Elois Malone and Peggy Brown of Texas.

Helen Bruton Montgomery of North Little Rock, one of the founding members of the North Little Rock Boys Club as well as the Park Hill Presbyterian Church, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, of complications following intestinal surgery.

She was 89.

Born in Trinity, Texas, the youngest of five children of a saw mill supervisor, Mrs. Montgomery moved to Park Hill in 1936 and became very active in civic affairs, especiallly involving children, in the city.

"She really loved children," her son Jim Cartwright of Greenbrier said.

As her two sons were growing up, she immersed herself in local PTA work, then was one of the founders of the Boys Club, where she served on the board of directors.

"And after they opened that building on 13th Street, we would be down there all summer," Jim Cartwright recalled.

She was a past member of the Junior League of North Little Rock, the Women's City Club of Little Rock and Park Hill Garden Club.

Her first marriage ended in divorce, and Mrs. Montgomery went to work first at the Arkla gas company and then as a secretary at North Little Rock High School, according to son Jim.

She was remarried in the late 1950s to the late J.H. Montgomery, and though she had been active for years in the First United Methodist Church on Maple Street, she worked with her Presbyterian husband to establish Park Hill Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Margaret Cartwright of Greenbrier, William and Beth Cartwright of North Little Rock; seven grandchildren, Kim Cartwright of North Little Rock, Terry Cartwright of Atlanta, Ga., Andy Cartwright of Dallas, Texas, Candice Wright of Cabot, Geoffery Cartwright of North Little Rock, Wayne Cartwright of North Little Rock, Clay Cartwright of Louisville, Ky.; and three great-grandchildren.

Albert R. Moore, 87, of Sherwood, died Thursday, Sept. 23. He was born in Paris, Tenn., to George Ulphin and Ruth Martin Moore.

He was retired from the Cotton Belt Railroad with 41 years of service, and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Pine Bluff and the Intermational Brotherhood of Machinist.

He is survived by sons and Daughters-in-law Bobby and Patricia Moore of North Little Rock and Richard and Susan Moore of New York; a brother Charles M. Moore; a sister, Sybil Green of North Little Rock.

Charles Milton Moore, Sr., 71, of Sherwood, the youngest of six children born to U.G. and Ruth Moore in North Little Rock and a retired Machinist from Union Pacific Railroad with 41 years of service, died Saturday, March 17.

He graduated from North Little Rock High School. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Sherwood, the Bill Harmon Sunday School Class, and a former member of the church choir there.

MossCharles G.Charles G. Moss, 83, of Sherwood, died Monday, Jan. 20. Born in Dyer, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas W. Moss, pioneer leaders in Government and Education in Crawford County, Arkansas.

He graduated from Hendrix College and the University of Arkansas and did post-graduate work at Yale University.

He was a teacher, principal and schools superintendent at Alma from 1938 to 1951. He was director of adult education at Fort Chaffee and Little Rock Air Force Base from 1951 to 1973.

He was a World War II Air Force veteran serving overseas in North Africe, India, and China as a captain until May, 1946.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, where he was a Sunday School Teacher, Church School Superintendent, Board of Trustees member and chairman of the administrative board and youth counselor until his death.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Woods Moss; daughter, Elaine Moss Gimblet; five grandchildren, Brandon, Brent and Susan Phillips, Meredith Brummett, and Aaron Gimblet; one sister, Lorena Moss Lancaster of Dyer, Arkansas; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Wednesday, Jan. 22, at the First United Methodist Church. Burial was at Dyer, Arkansas.

Born in Roland to the late Hugh and Kate Coley Moss, she was a homemaker and a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in North Little Rock.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Murphy. Survivors include a sister, Essie Dycus of Roland and a nephew, Hugh Campbell of North Little Rock.

George Frank "Jack" Murray, 83, of Little.....and real estate in California before retiring back in his home town, died Sunday, Jan. 9.

In his retirement, Mr. Murray enjoyed providing transportation for other retirees. He was also a member of Gardner Memorial United Methodist Church.

Preceded in death by parents, brothers and sisters; he is survived by family in Hawaii, Florida, West Virginia, California and Arkansas.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, Jan. 12, at Edgewood Memorial Park.

Glendene (Merideth) Muse, 77, of North Little Rock, a member and Pianist at Bethany Baptist Church for many years, died Monday, Jan. 11. She had been active in the PTA at Riverside Elementary School.

Preceded in death by her husband, William E. "Bud" Muse; her parents, a sister, Wanda Watson, and infant daughter, Judith Lynn Muse, she is survived by two sons, William M. "Bill" Muse; her parents, a sister, Wanda Watson, and infant daughter, Judith Lynn Muse, she is survived by two sons, William M. "Bill" Muse of Sherwood and Dan David Muse of Cardwell, Mo.; granddaughter, DeNise Enck of Montgomery, Ala.; and two sisters, Clio Townsend and Betty Gibbons, both of North Little Rock.
