Calvin Eugene Ingle, aged 60, of North Little Rock, retired from the North Little Rock Housing Authority where he worked as a carpenter and enjoyed cooking steaks for the Southwest NAHRO conferences, died Saturday, April 24, at the Pleasant Valley Living Center after a courageous battle with a brain tumor.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ondee Ingle, and sister, Ethel Karasek. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Betty Lea Ingle; two sons, Michael Ingle of Mississippi and Thomas "Al" Ingle of Helena; a daughter, Cheryl Ingle of Dassas; two stepsons, Wayne Shirey of Benton and Kevin Shirey of Tennessee; a stepdaughter, Kathy Shirey of Wisconsin; his father, Hooper Ingle of Searcy; two brothers, Alvin Ingle of Leland, Miss., and Joe Ingle of Mesquite, Texas; two sisters, Ruth Pate and Elizabeth Ingle, both of Searcy; and 14 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 27, in the Roller-Owens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Chris Depriest officiating. Interment was in Clay, Ark.; nlrt4/29/1999

IngramGrover H.Grover "Dutch" H. Ingram, 72, of North Little Rock, died Saturday, Sept. 14. He was a retired truck driver for Hiner Oil Company. Survivors include his wife Betty Ingram; two daughters, Kim Dunn and Holly Ingram all of North Little Rock; one son, Terry Ingram of Yucca Valley, California; six grandchildren and two great-grandchilren.

Patsy E. Dickerson Ingram, 76, of North Little Rock, died Tuesday, Dec. 10. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Rose City.

Survivors include two brothers, J.C. DIckerson of Benton and W.H. Dickerson of Ravenden Springs; four sisters, Elouise Cox of Fair Oaks, Winnie Lee McNeely and Edrie Woodall both of McCrory and Iva Reed of Auburn, CA; and nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ingram was preceded in death by her husband, James W> Ingram, and two brothers, Eastman Dickerson and Kaylor Dickerson

Emma Rose Inmon, 80, of North Little Rock, a native of Staten Island who moved here after her marriage to Walter Inmon in 1944, died Saturday, April 10, at St. Vincent Infirmary.

She is survived by a son, Edward John Inmon of North Little Rock; two sisters, Helen Mattiola and Rose Belligiere, both of Staten Island; two nieces, Pauline Mattiola and Lucille Baron, both of Staten Island; a granddaughter and husband, Angie and Kenny Brock of Jacksonville; granddaughter, Eve Inmon of North Little Rock; and great-granddaughter, Natalie Renee Brock of Jacksonville.

Fred Manuel Inmon, 80, of North Little Rock, died Thursday, Oct. 1. He was in the used car and truck business and a Mack Truck dealer for 22 years. After retiring he went into the cattle business and antique car, truck and motorcycle business.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, David E. and Karen Inmon of North Little Rock; and another son, Don Inmon of Des Arc; a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Fred Akers of Austin, Texas; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Bobby Inmon of Conway; a sister, Mildred Bolten of Selma, Ala.; and a caregiver of two years, Ann Spann.

Lois E. Faulkner Irby, 86, of North Little Rock, a member of First United Methodist Church of North Little Rock and the Ambassador's Sunday School Class and a past member of United Methodist Women, died Wednesday, Dec. 13.

She was a member of Generosity Auxiliary #37 to The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, the North Little Rock Women's Club and the Good Earth Garden Club. She was also a past member of North Little Rock Boy's & Girls Club Auxiliary and the City Beautiful Commission as well as other city civic organization.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of 40 years, Rush D. Faulkner also her second husband whom she met and married later, Robert E. Irby.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, James Rush "Jim" and Brenda Faulkner of Perry, Thomas Mackey and Alyce Faulkner of North Little Rock and Robert R. and Juanita Kay Faulkner, also of North Little Rock; one daughter and son-in-law, Bettye D. and Joe McElhanon of North Little Rock; 11 granchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one niece, Marylee Weintraut of Indianapolis, Ind.

Beatrice Surguine Irwin, 81, of North Little Rock, a member of Baring Cross Baptist church who had played in the Willow House Band, died Saturday, May 13. She had been a district queen for Robinson Health Care in 1997.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, J.L. Surguine and Al Irwin and a son, Johnnie Surguine.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Doreen Surguine of Singapore; four grandchildren, David and Richard Surguine, both of North Little Rock, and Brian and Colin Surguine, both of Singapore; and two great-grandchildren, Mattison and Christopher Surguine of North Little Rock Funeral Chapel with burial in Upper Spring Creek Cemetery in Danville.

James W. Jackson, Sr., 81, of North Little Rock, retired from the Veterans Administration Hospital, where he worked as a supervisor of medical administration, died Sunday, Aug. 13.

He had served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, was a licensed Arkansas funeral director and a member of Gardner Memorial Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Agnes Hoffman Jackson; son and daughter-in-law, James W. and Shirley Jackson, Jr. of North Little Rock; daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Richard Harrison of North Little Rock; four grandchildren, Allen, John, Kathy and Mike; and one great-great-granddaughter, Meredith.

JanskiJim D.Jim D. Janski, 57, of North Little Rock, died Thursday, Feb. 4. He was born in Vilonia, served in the National Guard for 17 1/2 years and attended the First Assembly of God Church in North Little Rock.

He loved the oceans and traveled through the mountains with his traveling companions, his wife and mother-in-law.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; two sons, Jerry Lynn Janski and Kenneth Wayne Janski and wife Nicole; daughter, Pam Janski Green; three grandsons, Blake, Hunter and Dusty Janski; sister Betty Adams; mother-in-law, Dovie Rice; and one special nephew, Mark Adams.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Sherwood, Sylvan Hills Masonic Lodge #754, 32nd Degree Mason and Scottish Rite Valley of Little Rock.

He is survived by a son, Eddie Jeter and his wife, Sandra of Sherwood; a daughter Katherine Austen and her husband, Tony of Benton; five grandhildren and one brother, Victor Jeter of Iowa.

She was an Active member of Rainbow Assembly No. 13 and Unit No. 2 of the Nu Phi Mu soroity. Born in Flint, Mich., Miss Johnson moved to North Little Rock in 1935. She was to have graduated from North Little Rock High School in December. Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Johnson; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Headrick of Lepanio and C. Maj. Lowell Wayne Johnson (U.S. Army retired) 59, of Arlington, Texas, died Monday, March 24 in Arlington Memorial Hospital.

Born in Corning, AR, he served in the Korean War and two Vietnam tours, where he was awarded two Purple Hearts and three Bronze Medals. He retired from the Army in June of 1979 with 23 years of service, moving to California where he lived until 1989 before moving to Arlington, where he worked for McKesson Corp., and was the owner and operator of Rascal's

Born in North Little Rock, the youngest child of the late Ralph and Edna Holt, she was recognized in high school for her musical talents and went on to graduate from Baylor University on a voice scholarship. She was an active member of Baring Cross Baptist Church before moving away.

Born and raised in Bournemouth, England, she came to America in 1952 to pursue a career as a fashion coordinator at Wanamakers Department Store in Philadelphia. Within a year she met Don Jordahl and was married a year later.

As the wife of an Air Force Officer, she made a home for her family in many places across the United States, the Far East and in Europe. She had lived in North Little Rock since 1983.
