She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hoffman.

She is survived by three daughters, Serrie Vanitterson of Los Vegas, Nev.,Diann Winstead of North Little Rock and Nancy Jane Matherson of Alexandria, Va.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Marilan Hogan; daughter and son-in-law, Jana and Pat Petterson; and two granddaughters, Tina and Michelle Patterson.

HolbrookDrew F.Drew F. Holbrook, 82, of North Little Rock, a retired geologist with the Geological Commission who later did geological consulting, died Nov. 24. Born in Minneapolis to the late Franklin and Cosette Drew Holbrook, he was a graduate of the University of Minnesota, serving in the Air Force as a fighter pilot in World War II and in the Korean Conflict. He also served in the Arkansas Air National Guard until retiring as colonel in December, 1977.

He is survived by his wife, Marguerite McGirr Holbrook; and a son, Fred Holbrook and two grandchildren, Drew P. Holbrook and Lauren Holbrook, all of Crested Butte, Colo.;and a brother, Bill Holbrook of Scottsdale, Ariz.

Burial was by cremation. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, at Park Hill Presbyterian Church. Born in Hazen, he was a World War II veteran, and played and coached baseball in the semi-pro and American Legion leagues. He also enjoyed playing golf.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Thelma Mae Hammons Holden. He is survived by a son, Tracy Holden of Cabot; Daughters, Pam Halbrook of Pascagoula, Miss., and Herry Holden of North Little Rock; three grandsons, Matt and Jake Halbrook and Blake Holden.

William Albert "Bill" Holt, 73, of North Little Rock, died Wednesday, Aug. 21 from cancer.

He was born Nov. 23, 1922, to Isham and Florence Campbell Holt in Crockett County, Tenn. He was married to Lillia Mae Gillespie on Oct. 9, 1943.

He spent his early life in Brownsville and Jackson, Tenn., moving to North Little Rock when he was about 30.

He was employed by Capital Welding Supply Co. for 32 years, and by Professional Counseling until his illness.

He is survived by his wife, Lillia Mae Holt; son William A Holt Jr.; five daughters and sons-in-law, Benda Cotton and Darel Alkire, Sandra and Shelton Littlefiled, Regina and Phillip Mitchell, Opal Griffin and Larry Wohner, and Donna Smith; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Robert Cotton, Rick and Vickie Cotton, Tonya Elliott, Shelley and Shane Smith, Krystal Smith, Jason and Jerremy Ables, and Shelton and Alan Littlefield; three great-grandchildren. Louise Stockton Hughes, 74, of Sherwood, died Friday, May 28. She was born in Ramesa, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Central Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Louis Clifford Hughes; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandi York and Harold Ford of Lonoke and Linda and Gary Hargrove of Sherwood; four grandchildren, Cinde (Dane) Hart, Shelli (Nick) Crow, Jynnifer Pritchett (Brian) and Jeremy Hargrove, and three great-grandchildren, Jered, Lauren and Austin.

He was preceded in death by one grandson, Ronnie David Hughey, his parents Charlie and Gussie Hughey, three brothers H.L., Bobby Frank and A.K. Hughey, and one sister, Kitty Chambers.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Margie Charles Hughey; three sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and LaDonna Hughey of Beebe, Danny and JoAnn Hughey of Scott and Donnie Hughey of North Little Rock; daughter and son-in-law Beverly and Mark Bailey of North Little Rock; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Lloyd Hughey of North Little Rock; and two sisters, Charleen Tipton of Little Rock and Neta Roper of Bryant.

Sara Ruth "Sally" (Gavin) Huncke, 83, of North Little Rock, died Wednesday, July 19. Sara was a long-time organist at Immaculta Conception Catholic Church in North Little Rock and was the first secretary of Immaculate Conception School. She retired after many years with the American Red Cross.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Helen Gavin, a brother, Charles Gavin. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Carol O. Huncke; sons, Charles F. Huncke and Deeana Montgomery of North Little Rock, John G. Huncke and wife Kate of New York City; daughter, Ruthie H. Holland and husband Alan of Little Rock; numerous grandchildren; other family members, Chris and Brian; Huncke, Matthew and Laura Holland, Sara and Matthew Huncke, Amy, Walt and Jacob Terry and Amanda Montgomery.

The family wishes to gratefully thank the friends who gave so generously of their love and support during Sara's extended illness. In partricular, thanks to Dr. James Hazelwood, the nursing staff of Baptist Hospital, the wonderful compassionate caregivers of the Arkansas Hospice Center, Sue Mills and "The Girls" of the bridge club, some of whom have been together for over 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Lucille Hunt.

He is survived by three sons, John Hunt of Mayflower, Robert Kinard of Stagecoach, Nev., and Jack Kinard of Fort Smith; daughter, Mary Whitfield of Lonsdale; two brothers, Joseph Hunt of North Little Rock and Leon Hunt of Mobile, Ala.; one sister, Frances Smith of Albuquerque; and nine grandchildren.

She was a retired employee of North American Phillips.

Mrs. Hurt was preceded in death by a son, Michael Wayne Bright, one brother, Harry Spikes and one sister, Edna Rogers.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Mayflower Cemetery with the Rev. Arthur Ward officiating.
