Pine Bluff, Feb. 7 - Miss Esther Wilson, aged 21, the chorus girl who was badly burned Monday afternoon when her Hawaiian costume caught fire, died at a local hospital yesterday orning.

She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Moore of Muncie, Ind., and had been on the stage about a year.; ag2/8/17

WilderJ.H.Texarkana, Feb. 15 - J.H. Wilder, aged 79, died at his home last night. He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Miss Allie Wilder and Mrs. Overhelser.

Mr. Wilder had been a locomotive engineer for 50 years. He began his career on the Illinois Central in 1867. In 1877 he went with the Texas & Pacific, with a run between here and Dallas. For the last 25 years he has had a passenger run between Texarkana and Marshall. During this long service he never had a serious accident, and no one was ever killed or seriously injured by his engine. He was a Knight Templar.; ag2/16/17

WilkinsGeorgiaPine Bluff, Jan. 28 - Miss Georgia Wilkins, aged 92, the oldest resident of Pine Bluff, died at 9:30 o'clock yesterday morning at the home of Mrs. Dan Byrd. Her death was due to the infirmities of old age. Prior to the illness which resulted in her death she had never been seriously ill. During late years her faculties wer inimpaired and she maintained interest in her friends.

She was a native of Petersburg, Va., where she was born February 22, 1825, and was the last descendant of one of the prominent families of that state. She spent her young womanhood in LaGrange, Tenn., and came to Pine Bluff with her brothers; the late V.D. Wilkins and the late Dock Wilkins, pioneers of this city. She was a member of the First Methodist church and attended services regularly until in her last years. She is survived by three nephews, J.W. Wilkins, Rob Wilkins and E.B. Houston, and by a number of grand-nieces and nephews, in Pine Bluff and Philadelphia. The funeral was held this afternoon from the home of J.W. Wilkins.; ag1/29/17

WilliamsJ.M.Hope, Aug. 28 - Dr. J.M. Williams, 89 years old, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. D. Vallentine, here this morning, after several days' illness. Dr. Williams was a native of Alabama, but had lived in Hempstead county for 72 years. He was the oldest Mason in the state. In 1916 he reached the age where he became a member for life, free of all dues.

He is survived by his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Lizzie Fennigan of Pine Bluff, Mrs. Joe Rosenbaum of Texarkana, Mrs. M. Russell of Idabel, Okla., and Mrs. D. Mr. Williams was employed as a specialty salesman for the Pritt China Company of Ohio

Mr. Williams apparently was in good health this morning. He had gone to the wholesale house to route out his next week's work with representatives of the grocer house and had started his work when stricken. He never rallied

Born in Fort Smith in 1875, Mr. Williams had spent all of his life here. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Lulu Williams; a sister, Miss Mayme Williams, both of this city, and a brother, R G Williams, Tonopah, Nev; ag1/12/30

He was one of the best know and most influential residents of the county. Dr. Wilson was vice president and a director of the Bank of Hampton and also was interested in several other state banks. He was a member of Southern Star Lodge No 53, Free and Acepted Masons. Pine Bluff, April 14 - Clifton Marion Winters, aged eight months, only son of Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Winters of this city, burned to death at the family home this morning.

When the child was sleeping in his cradle, which was near a fire in the room, Mrs. Winters left the room for a few minutes. It is supposed the child awoke, and in trying to climb out of the cradle overturned it and fell into the fire. When the mother returned the child was so badly burned that he died in a few minutes.; ag4/15/17
