Mr. Naylor had been employed at the Little Rock postoffice for 36 years, and was retired October 1. NealKittySearcy, Jan. 30- Mrs. Kitty Neal, aged 78 years, died yesterday. Funeral services will be held tomorrow from the Baptist church by the Rev. W.P. Cooksey. Mrs. Neal had lived in Searcy for more than 40 years, and in Arkansas 64 years. She was the widow of the late John H. Neal, who was in the undertaking business in Searcy for 25 years. Mr. Neal died 20 years ago.

Mrs. Neal was the first grand matron of the Eastern Star of Arkansas, in 1876. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Lucy Freeman, of San Marcos, Tex., and a son, John D. Neal of Newport.

NewmanEliHelena, Jan 24 - The Funeral of the late Eli Newman, aged 54, local business man and Mason, who died suddenly at his home on Liberty avenue last night, will be held at the residence tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock, with services by Rabbi Jerome Mark of Temple Bethel. Burial will be in Bethel cemetery under Masonic suspices, Mr. Newman was born in Helena March 21, 1867, and had lived here all his life. He was well known in business circles, and was a Thirty-second degree Mason. Surviving him are his wife and three daughters, Mrs. T Witkin and Miss Mildred Newman of New York City and Miss Elinor Newman, now attending school in Boston. Other survivors are a brother, Albert and two sisters. Mrs. T Kern and Mrs. G G Altman, all of this city. At the time of his death, Mr. Newman was head of the Newman Coal Company and the Helena Bill Posting Company. NortonHelen M. Mrs. Helen M. Norton, aged about 71, a pioneer and one of the best known women residents of Little Rock, died yesterday afternoon at Canyon City, Colo., according to a telegram received by relatives here last night. Mrs. Norton went to the Colorado resort the latter part of June, hoping to regain her health, which had been failing for several months.

With Mrs. Norton at the time of her death were her sister, Mrs. Logan H. Roots, 923 Scott street, and her son, Fred Norton of Wooster, Mass.

The body will be brought to Little Rock for burial. It is believed it will arrive Friday night or Saturday morning.

Surviving Mrs. Norton, besides her sister, Mrs. Roots, and her son, Mr. Norton, are three nieces, all of Little Rock. They are: Mrs. W.S. Mitchell, 1404 Scott street; Mrs. W.L. Hemingway, 1720 Arch street, and Mrs. F.W. Crawford, 900 Cumberland street.

Mrs. Norton was the wife of the late S V Norton, who died about 32 years ago. She came to Little Rock 30 years ago from Radford, Pa., making her home with her sister, Mrs. Roots, since. She was a lineal descendant of Roger Williams, the founder of the state of Rhode Island. She was a member of the congregation of Trinity cathedral.

Mrs. Norton was closely identified with club and social activities. For several years she was state regent of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and only this year was made honorary state regent of the club for life. She was a member of the Colonial Dames and of the Aesthetic Club. She also was a member of the Colonial Governors, the Founders and Patriots and of the Daughters of the Crown.

"In all moves for the uplifting of womankind, Mrs. Norton always was to be found taking the leading part," Mrs. Myra C. Warner, 1414 Rock street, for years a warm friend of Mrs. Norton, said last night. "She was one of the most kind-hearted women I ever knew, and seemed to delight in making personal sacrifices to help someone who was in trouble. The women of Little Rock have lost one of their best friends in her death."; ag8/8/1917

NortonJ.N.Searcy, May 10 - J.N. Norton, aged 75, died suddenly yesterday of apoplexy while he was coming to town from his home, two miles north of Searcy. Mr. Norton, who was walking, stopped to talk to his son, M.G. Norton, when he was seized with the attack, from which he died a few minutes later. Mr. Norton was a Confederate soldier and had lived in Arkansas for 65 years. He served in the Seventh Arkansas Regiment. He is survived by his wife and two children.; ag5/11/17
