He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Iris Chapter 151 Royal Arch in Jacksonville. He was a member of the Jacksonville First United Methodist Church, and a 36 year Navy veteran, where he retired as a chief petty officer in naval aviation. He was a retired Maintenance foreman for Reynolds Mining Corp.

Elly Louise Von Mueller Peterson, 79, of Little Rock died June 27, 1998.

She and her husband, the late Peter Olof Peterson II, founded Peterson Family Enterprises Inc., which primarily consists of farm land in Lonoke County. She was a founding member of the Arkansas Opera Theater, supported the Arkansas Arts Center, and Ballet Arkansas. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral.

Survivors include four daughters, Ruth Cecilia Mitchell of Little Rock, Elly Louise Drosihn of San Francisco, Calif., April Amie Shurgar of Carlisle, and Christine Ann Bridenhagen of Sister Bay, Wis.; two sons, Peter O. Peterson of San Francisco, Calif. and John Sven Peterson of Milwaukee, Wis.; 21 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., July at Mrs. Peterson's home at 55 Scenic Blvd., Little Rock. Rev. Henry Hudson will officiate. Graveside service will follow in the family cemetery at Hamilton Plantation, Cralisle. Ruebel Funeral Home will be in charge.

Lori Lynn Pettejohn, 18, of Glenwood died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002. She was born in Jacksonville, was a senior at Caddo Hills High School where she was a member of the choir, FBLE and FCCLA, and served as an office aide at school.

Survivors include her father, Clinton Pettiejohn of Glenwood; her mother, Brenda Spicer of Cabot; a brother, Charles Carter of Cabot; grandparents, Lorena and C.D. Carter of Cabot and Ruby Willis of Benton.
