SHe was a teacher at Cabot Middle School, and a member of the Cabot First Baptist Church. She was a member of the Cabot Teachers Association, Arkansas Education Association, National Education Association, Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW, Lonoke COunty 4-H Club and was a Science Crusade graduate.

Survivors include her husband, Kevin Kelsey; three daughters, Melissa Brown, Amanda Michelle Brown and Loree Nichole Kelsey; her father, William Garner of Bakersfield, Calif., and Michael T. Garner of Centerville; and a sister, Elizabeth J. Cox of Augusta.

Funeral is set for 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 5, at the Cabot First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Mt. Crmel Cemetery. Cabot Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

He owned and operated Cabot Computer Services, and was a former school principal at Marvel and Mammoth Springs, and a former band director at Manila High School. He was a Roman Catholic.

KennedyWilliamWilliam Garrett Kennedy, aged 63, of Little Rock died Monday, Feb. 24, 1997.

He was a Marine, attached to the guard unit of the American Embassy in India and London, then obtained the rank of gunnery sergeant when he was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He spent 20 years in the Marines. He was a systems store supervisor with Missouri Pacific Railroad, where he was a member of the Brotherhood of the Maintenance of the Way Union. He was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Grace Potter Kennedy of Little Rock; two sons, Steele Kennedy of Little Rock and Todd Kennedy of Fort Worth, Texas; four daughters, Roberta Parsley of Fort Worth, Texas, Wendi Steeds of Lumberton, Texas, Jilana McCarty of Vidor, Texas and Holly Jackson of Washington, D.C; a sister, LaVessa Auburn of San Antonio, Texas; and four grandchildren.

Nona Cagle Kinder, age 95, of Russellville (Caglesville Community) died Monday, Sept. 16, 2002, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.

A daughter of the late Mace and Mary Inez Gray Cagle, she was born Oct. 1, 1906 at Caglesville. She was the widow of Rev. J.D. (Dewey) Kinder. She was a member of Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church and most recently attended the Caglesville Community Church.

She was preceded in death by an infant son; a brother, Fay Cagle; a sister, Myrtle Cooper; a grandson, Carrol Don Hays; and a great-grandson, Brian Steven Richter.

Survivors include two daughters, Dortha Kinslow and Virginia L. John Wayne Kinley Sr., aged 61, of Fordyce died June 11, 2000.

He was born Nov. 18, 1938, at Cabot to Raymond John and Jessie Woodrow Rich Kinley. Mr. Kinley graduated from Cabot High School and Attended Arkansas State University, where he studied journalism and printing. He became a member of Mt. Tabor Methodist Curch at Cabot early in life and joined the First Presbyterian Church of Fordyce in 1960. He moved to Fordyce in March 1960 to work at the Fordyce News-Advocate where he was advertising salesman, sports editor, reporter, photographer, advertising manager and general manager until May 1986. He missed only three Redbug football games from 1960 through the 1985 seasons. Mr. Kinley began working at Lyon Folder Company as plant manager May 1, 1986. He was a former member and secretary of the Fordyce School Board, former member of the Board of Directors of the Fordyce Chamber of Commerce and Fordyce Jaycees, where he served in practically all offices including president. He was named Jaycee of the Year in 1966. He was also a justice of the Peace in the late 1960s when they met only once a year in November to approve budgets.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Sanders Kinley, whom he married July 1, 1960; one sons, John Kinley Jr. and daughter-in-law, Dianne of Camden Harmony Grove; two grandsons, Brandon and Lane Kinley, of Harmony Grove; his mother, Jessie Kinley of Cabot; four sisters, Margaret Kinley, Jo Ann Kinley and Mary Ramey, all of Cabot, and Cecille Boyd and her husband, David of Clinton; one niece; two great-nieces; three aunts; four cousins and mother-in-law, Arlene Sanders

She was a member of the Ladies Auxillary of Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Wylie Home Demonstration Club.

Survivors include three daughters, Betty Barricklow of Spring, Texas, Jeanette Sells of Stuttgart, and Peggy Wallace of Wilburn; a son, Michael Wallace of Vilonia; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was Aug. 28 at Woodland Manor Nursing Home, Conroe, Texas, by Hank Demous Crown of Texas Hospice. Graveside memorial service was Aug. 31 at Czech National Cemetery, Hazen, by Westbrook Funeral Home of Hazen.; csh9/3/97

She was former manager for Southwestern Bell Telephone, DeWitt, a member of the First United Methodist Church in Carlisle, a member of the Eastern Star, past state ADAH Worthy Matron for DeWitt and Carlisle, a member of the Builder's Class, a member of the Altruistic Club and a substitue teacher for the Carlisle School District.

There are no immediate survivors.

Funeral was July 24 at the Carlisle First United Methodist Church, with burial in Carlisle Cemetery by Westbrook Funeral Home of Hazen.; csh7/29/98

She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Charles Kortenber, Pine Bluff; daughters, Michelle Shinnof Cabot, and Kendyl Menjivar of Sheridan; step-daughter, Kethleen Faucett of Carlisle; step-son, John Kortenber of St. Charles, Mo.; mother, Arline Dickey; three granddaughters; one grandson.

She was a member of the Luna Holiness Church in West Monroe.

He was a heavy equipment operator for H.W. Tucker Construction Co. and a member of the Scott Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Davis Kyzer; a son, Leon Kyzer of El Paso; three daughters, Janette McNair and Judy Shirley, both of North Little Rock; and Vicky Beard of Cabot; a sister, Viola French of Palestine; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
