Gary Hill Bevill, 64, of Lonoke, passed away unexpectedly March 31, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in North Little Rock.

He was a faithful member of Lonoke Baptist Church, serving on many of its building committees. His achievements in life were many. He taught school in DeValls Bluff, served as Agricultural Extension Agent, and then in 1963 went in business for himself when he opened Lonoke Fertilizer and Chemical Company. He served area farmers and the agriculture community for over 40 years.

Gary was very active in community activities and boards, serving as chairman of Lonoke County Housing Authority, past member of Lonoke School Board, and past president of Arkansas Plant Food Association. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge #51.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Della Rowley Bevill; two sons, Terry Bevill, and wife, Wendi; one daughter, Jona Plummer, and husband, Donald Ray, all of Lonoke; six grandchildren, BreAnne Bevill, Paige Bevill, Walker Bevill, Emma Bevill, Jessica Plummer and Wes Plummer, all of Lonoke; two sisters, Beryl Fox of Oxford, Miss., and Mary Kay Thomas of Tyler, Texas; one brother, Jimmy Bevill of Olive Branch, Miss.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Bingham of Gypsum, Colo, and Warren Bingham of Sparks, Nev.; a daughter, Barbara Francisco of Ward; three sisters, Alice Tow of Denver, Colo., Ina Hammon of Raymondsville, Mo., and Lucille Bailey of Cabool, Mo.; and three grandchildren.

Graveside service was Friday, July 5, at Old Austin Cemetery. W.L. Westbrook Funeral Home of Beebe was in charge.; csh7/10/96

BinnsRichardRichard Binns, 54, of Cabot died Thursday, May 8, 1997.

Survivors include a daughter, Valley Raye Coleman of Kansas City, Kan.; his father, Louis Binns of Brownsille, Texas; two sisters, Patricia Warren of Ottawa, Kan. and Debbie Scott of Cabot; and two grandsons.

The body was cremated. Arrangements were by Cabot Funeral Home.

A memorial service was held Monday, May 12, at Cabot Manor Nursing Home.

BirkheadModeanModean Birkhead, aged 91, of Little Rock died Saturday. She worked for Blass Department Stores and then retired from Dillard's. She was a Methodist.

Survivors include brothers, Joe Cain, of Cabot, and Macklin Cain, of Dardanelle; sisters, Hallie Davenport, Russellville, and Mary Lee Clark, Cabot.

Services were Tuesday at Cornwell Chapel, Dardanelle with Interment in New Hope Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home, Dardanelle.; csh 7/26/2000

Carolyn Sue Bivens, 51, of Beebe died Feb. 5, 2002.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Beebe. Survivors include her husband, Jim Bevens of Beebe; sons, Mark Bivens of Beebe and Owen Bivens of North Little Rock; her mother, Betty Owens of Beebe; and her sister, Kathy Williams of Beebe.

Funeral was Feb. 8 at First Baptist Church, Beebe, with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Beebe; csh2/13/2002
