 Gervais, Joseph - Came to Oregon from Canada.  His second wife was Marguerite Yiamust of Clatsop and his children were:  Isaac, Francois, Francaise, Mary, Edouard, Adelaide, Julia and David.



 Gill, Mary Arnold - was born in Virginia and came to Oregon from Ill. My great grandma Anna Marie Gill, came on the wagon 1865 when she was 3 years old, from Illinois. William was born in Oregon,or maybe Wa.at one time they moved to Whitman Co WA. 1880 and Grandma was married in Wa 1885 and came to Calif.  Mary died in Albany (linn Co) 13 Aug 1913, William signed the death notice, he lived on chicago st, Albany. Mary's children were Anna, William,Minnie,Henry


Gill, L.D. - came to Oregon from KY.  His children were:  Anna Marie born in IL, William born in OR, Minnie born in OR and Henry born in WT ??.
Mary "Arnold" Gill was in Lane Co. in 1913 she was a widow.


 Gingras, Jean - Came to Oregon from Quebec and was married first to Charlotte Louise of Okanogan Nation and second to Olive Forcier.  His children were:  Louis Xavier, Octave, Elizabeth, Calliste, and Charles.


Grant, Richard Jackson - was born December 26, 1825 and came to Oregon from Missouri.  He had his wife Sarah Jane Williams had the following children: Mary Ellen, Nancy, David, James, and  Gilbert.

 GRIFFITH, John Benjamin - was born July 22, 1853.  About 1873 he and his brother Stephen left GA and went to TX where he sutdied engineering and religion.   He was ordained a Baptist minister in 1879.  In 1884 John went to Sacramento, CA by train with his wife Mary, they then went by wagon on the stagecoach route to Eugene, OR.  John surveyed for City of Eugene, the went SW over road N of Diamond Peak to homestead in Poe Valley in 1884.  He founded a Baptist church at Olene, OR.  The church moved to the Poe Valley and then to Klamath Falls in 1900.  In 1888 he was elcected County Surveyor.  John Designed and built first water wheel in Kalmath Co., in 1903 near Stukel Mt. waterin g 70 acres.  He helped get the Southern Pacific Railroad in from Weed, CA in 1904.  The first train came in 1909.  He was elected County Judge in 1906 and retired to Ashland in 1919.  John died in 1920 and mary died December 21, 1936 in Polk Co.  John and Mary had the following children:  William Evert, Tisdale, Atta G., Clyde, Marie, Esther, and Carol.
