DAVIDSON, Elijah Jones - was born June 22, 1849.  He moved to Josephing County in 1867 from Monmouth, IL and discovered the Oregon Caves in 1874. He had at least one child Anna Genervra (Geneva?)


 Davidson, Elijah Sr. - was born February 22, 1782 and came to Oregon from Warren Co., IL.  He was married to Margaret Murphey and their children were:  Carter, Hosea, William, Hannah, John, Mary Ann, Margaret, Elijah, Rachel, Elizabeth, Sarah, and Alexander.


Deadmond, Bluford -    was born March 28, 1815.  He was  from Bedford, VA .  He had the following children James , Henry , William , Elizabeth ,Harriet, Susan, John,  Richard, Mary, Joseph, Bluford, and  Jasper.
 Bluford and Emeline were married in Marion Co. IL in 31 Dec 1837.  Bluford settled Donation Land Claim 8 Nov 1853.  Lived in the area where Deadmond Ferry Rd. is.  (Springfield, OR)
They are burried in Gillespie Pioneer Cemetery.


Delang, Daniel - came to Oregon from Tennessee.  He and wife Elizabeth McGhee had the following children: William, Daniel Jr., David, George, James, John.Daniel Sr., William, and Daniel Jr. came in 1843.  The rest of the family came in 1845.


 Derr-Carter, Barbara Clara  - traveled with her husband James Carter, who died along the ORegon Trail, their children Charles, Mary Elizabeth, Cynthia Ann and her two brothers Martin Milton Derr and Perry A. Derr.  They elected to travel with a wagon train lead by Steven Meeks, which became known as the Lost Wagon Train. Her second husband was William Prather, their children were Perry, Martha, James, Eliza, Martin, Miles, Ruth.  Barbara was from Pennsylvania.
 Dickinson, Spencer Dale - Came to Oregon from Salem, NJ.  He and his wife had a child Sarah Jane Dickinson.  They settled in Yoncalla, OR.


 Dixon, James -  was born in Castlebridge, Co. Wexford Ireland and emigrated to America in 1848.  Was a lumberman owning many mills along the California Coast including 7,000 acres of Fort Ross purchased in 1867.  Died on December 15, 1883 in Coquille in a logging accident at a mill he owned there.


Drury, William - was born October 11, 1811in Norfork VA,  and arrived in Oregon October 20, 1853 .  His children were:  Thomas,  John, Simeon, Sarah Jane, Mary Louise, Lucinda, William, Parthena, George, David, and  Emeline.
 Married Elizabeth 223 May 1840 in Macon Co. Missouri.  Lived in the Pleasant Hill area, and family is burried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

DE LAP, CHARLES RANSOM - was born January 17, 1857.  He came by rail to Sacramento in 1879, where he taught school.  Charles moved to Klamath Co., OR in 1883 with the Farrar family and married daughter Octavia in 1884.  They were Early settlers in the Po Valley and Klamath County where he held numerous properties.  He was the County Clerk there for 30 years.  Charles died in Portland during WWII (1945)  Martha Octavia died 1959 at age 98 in Salem.  They had the following children:  Truman H., charles F., Chester H., Perry O., Lloyd R., Virgil G., Wilmoth A., Octavia D., and Ruth M.


  DE LAP, HIRAM - was born May 4, 1828 and came to Polk County from WI.  He came to Eola Hills probably by rail with Achsah.   His surviving children all from wife Lucinda Lamb.  His daughter Cornelia was in KS, his son Charles in Klamath Co., came to OR first.  Sons James and Alpheus died in Childhood in WI.   Son Ambrose died in Oak Grove, Polk Co., Josiah inherieted Hiram's place in Oak Grove.  Daughter Ella died in Klamath Falls, and son Frank disappearde in MT as miner.  Hiram d. April 16, 1901 in Oak Grove, Polk Co.,  Achsah died there on March 31, 1917.  Hiram was also married to Fidelia Smith.  He had the following children:  Cornelia J., Charles R., Ambrose, James W., Alpheus, Josiah W., Ellen M., and Frank.
