Lane County Cemeteries
1978 Oregon Department of Transportation Cemetery Survey of Lane County

Pieces of unusual information about burial practices were discovered as the survey was being made.  In the hope that they may be of interest or value, they were included in the survey.

This survey is a public record and is not copyrighted and may be freely copied or duplicated in any way.

(The list below has been cross checked to the National Geographic Names Data Base and cemeteries are listed by the preferred name shown by the U.S. Geological Survey.  The three names with an asterisk* were not listed on the 1978 survey.  Many of these cemeteries have been indexed and are also linked to the Lane County Archives site.)

Arline Poole Cox will do lookups for the following Lane County cemeteries:   Caldwell, Central School, Chicahomony, Cushman, Danish, Deadwood, Drew Indian, Fergueson, Franklin, Gates, Gideon Richardson, Indian Creek, Inman, Jenkins, Jones, Liles, Lorane Grange, Lorane I.O.O.F., McCullough, Mapleton, Marcola, Milliorn, Rest Lawn, Richardson, Sailor, Stephens, Union, Walton, William White and Young.  She will also do lookups in all four volumes of the "Centennial History of Oregon," the "Immigration Roster for Elliott Cutoff 1853 & 1854," and the ancestors and descendants of Solomon Thomas Cox of Lane County, 1848.

Carole Chapman will look up entries at the Bemis, Brumbaugh (Blue Mountain), Comstock, Culp Creek (Hunt), Doolittle, Fir Grove, Hawley (Divide), McFarland, Sears, Shields (Knox Hill), Silk Creek, Small, Taylor-Lane, and Walker Cemeteries.
