Scholarships

Every year Eulalona Chapter, NSDAR has the distinct honor of presenting students in Klamath County, Oregon with awards in three different categories.

The American History Essay Contest: All grade 5, 6, 7, and 8 students in a Klamath County public, private, or parochial school, or those who are home schooled, are eligible.

Christopher Columbus Essay Contest: Since 1996, the NSDAR has joined with the National Italian American Foundation to sponsor an annual national essay contest on Christopher Columbus. The contest is open to Klamath County students in grades 9 through 12 in public, private, or parochial schools, or those who are home schooled.

The DAR Good Citizens program and Scholarship Contest is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship. The program is open to all Klamath County senior class students enrolled in accredited public or private secondary schools who are in good standing with their state boards of education.

College Scholarship: Awarded to a Klamath County graduating senior with a GPA of 3.5 or better who is college bound and has composed the winning essay. This award may not be given every year.
