Michael ABNEY, son of Elias ABNEY and Jemima Thomas, was born on 15 August 1815 in Tennessee.
Michael married first Mary Taylor on 10 January 1835 in Gallatin County, Illinois.
Mary died in 1843 in Illinois leaving Michael ABNEY as a widower.
Michael married second Catherine Empson on 8 April 1844 in Illinois. She was the daughter of William and Elizabeth Morris Empson of Gallatin County.
Michael ABNEY died on 11 February 1855 in Saline County, Illinois, at age 39. He was buried in Brushy Cemetery, Harco, Saline County, Illinois.
