     Charles Lealand Presley ABNEY, son of John Newton ABNEY and Martha Cynthia Maddox, was born on 25 January 1885 in Honey Creek, Rockdale County, Georgia.

During the Spanish American War, Charles Lealand Presley ABNEY enlisted in the U. S. Navy in 1898. He served as a coxswain.

Charles married Elizabeth Cooper Rodgers circa 1910 in Rockdale County, Georgia. Daughter of Sidney Wilson Rodgers and Hattie Spear Rodgers.

Charles Lealand Presley ABNEY died on 9 May 1957 in San Francisco, California, at age 72. He was buried in Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, San Mateo County, Callifornia.
