     Aline Watters Burt, daughter of William Marshall Burt III and Marjorie Lucinda Boyd, was born on 26 September 1920 in Pittsview, Russell County, Alabama.

Aline Watters Burt appeared in a newspaper article 19 July 1942 in the Montgomery Advertiser, published in Montgomery, Alabama. The engagement of Miss Aline Watters Burt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Marshall Burt, Jr., of Pittsview, to Lieutenant Forrest Harrison Norse, Jr., of Smethport, Penn., announced this morning is of wide social interest.

The marriage will take place August 15. Miss Burt's mother was formerly Miss Marjorie Boyd, daughter of Mrs. A. W. Boyd of Cookville, Tenn. On her paternal side she is the granddaughter of the late William Marshall Burt and Anna Vann Burt, pioneer citizens of Pittsview. She is a sister of Mrs. John E. Lowery, of Charlotte, N. C., and of Miss Marjorie Burt of Pittsview.

The bride-to-be attended Huntingdon College and received Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama where she graduated with the class of 1941.

At the University she was actively engaged in all campus activities and was a member of the social sorority Alpha Delta Pi. Since her graduation she has held a position at Post headquarters at Fort Benning, Ga.

Lieut. Norse is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Forest Harrison Norse, Sr. of Smethport, Penn.

He graduated from the Pennsylvania Military College with the class of 1941 with degree in civil engineering.

The past year he has been stationed at Fort Benning, Ga., with the 29th Infantry.

Aline Watters Burt died on 12 November 2005 in Phenix City, Russell County, Alabama, at age 85. She was buried in Pittsview Cemetery.
