     Appy Barfield was born circa 1786 in South Carolina. She was also known as Nancy.

Appy married Edmund BROWN Jr., son of Edmund BROWN and Nancy ANDERSON, on 1 June 1816 in Robeson County, North Carolina. Witnesses were Abram Brown and A. Jordan.1,2

She was probably the female age 16 to 26 listed in the household of her husband, Edmund BROWN Jr., in the 1820 Federal Census of Marlboro County, South Carolina.3

She was probably the female age 30 to 40 listed in the household of her husband, Edmund BROWN Jr., in the 1830 Federal Census of Bibb County, Alabama.4

She was probably the female age 50 to 60 listed in the household of her husband, Edmund BROWN Jr., in the 1840 Federal Census of Bibb County, Alabama.5
