     Robert D'Abbeney was the parson of Bamford, Derbyshire, England.

Robert D'Abbeney made a grant to Hugh le Pec between 1216 and 1272 in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England. At an unknown date (probably Henry !!! 1216-1272), "Robert Albus of Brampton, grant to Hugh le Pec, rent which Peter Tincton paid in Chesterfield, and rent in Freylesant Flat, in Brampton. Trustees the Lord Thomas de Brampton, Thomas de la Leys, Roger de Blythe, Peter Fox, William fil Hugo, Richer fil Wunat. Witness de Catclive."1

Robert was a witness to a grant of land from Hugh, son of Gerberti de Stoke, to William, son of Philippi de Thornhyl, of five acres of land in Kenteney in the field of Superior Offerton. Witnesses: Elyas de Bamford, Peter de Hyrst, and Robert de Abney. Also to a grant from Hugh, son of William de Offerton, to William, son of Phillipi de Thornhyl, of all his land in Kenteney. Witnesses: Peter de Hayrsle, Nicholas de Paddelay, and Robert de Abeney. Both grants in late Henry III (1244-1272).2

Robert D'Abbeney, son of Robert D'Abbeneye and Eustacia De Fancourt, was born circa 1245.

Robert was a witness to a grant in Offerton from Robert le Raggede fil. Richard le Raggade to William Fox of Offerton, of all the lands which he holds in the name of Matilda, his wife, in the fee and territory of Over Offerton, Nether Offerton, "vel Kauershegge." Witnesses: William Hally, William Foliambe, Thomas his brother, Thomas de Langedon, Robert de Abbeney, parson of Bampford, Peter le Hore, etc. Reign of Edward I (1272-1307).3

Robert D'Abbeney was included on a tax list between 1307 and 1327 in Hocklow, Derbyshire, England. From a Tithe Roll found in Lichfield records believed to date during the reign of Edward II 1307-1327 are the following in Hocklow: John Larcher, Wm. Rankelli, Alan Archer, Wm. Bate, Robt. Abbeney, Rich. and Jo. Archer. In Barthw. were: Rich. Foljambe, Adam Forester, Adam de Aula and Alan del Hill.

Robert D'Abbeney was a witness to a grant 8 September 1317 in Offerton, Derbyshire, England, from Robert, son of Eustachil de Offerton, to William, son of John Fox, of those two acres of land which he had by grant of his father in Offerton. Witnesses: William Hally, William de Abbeney, and Robert de Edinsour.4
