Jefferson Monroe Abney (1861-1936)
     Jefferson Monroe ABNEY, son of George W. ABNEY and Rosannah O'Leary, was born on 18 July 1861 in Chambers County, Alabama.1

Jefferson married Mary Lee Griffin on 2 November 1891 in Troup County, Georgia. They had seven children.1

Jefferson Monroe ABNEY died on 1 February 1936 in Chambers County, Alabama, at age 74.1 He was buried in Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Tillers Crossroads.
