     Mary ABNEY, daughter of Nathaniel ABNEY Jr. and Sarah Canada, was born on 3 March 1816 in Stewart County, Tennessee. She was also known as Polly.

Mary married William Gray circa 1837.

Mary ABNEY and William Gray moved from Stewart County, Tennessee to Vienna, Johnson County, Illinois, after 1865.1

Mary ABNEY died on 12 October 1874 in Vienna, Johnson County, Illinois, at age 58.1 She was buried in Vienna Fraternal Cemetery.
