Harrison Felix Brown
     Harrison Felix BROWN, son of Holly Middleton BROWN and Teresa A. WOOD, was born on 20 November 1878 in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama.1

In 1897 Holly Middleton BROWN, Harrison Felix BROWN, and John Anderson BROWN were living in Birmingham, Alabama, at 304 S. 19th Street. Holly M. Brown was working as a carpenter, John A. was a waiter at Gelder's Restaurant and Felix H. was employed as a tinner for C. A. Bain.

Harrison married Jessie Ethel Flewellen on 20 November 1900 in Monroe, Morehouse Parish, Louisiana.1

On 25 October 1907 Harrison Felix BROWN was hired as a coppersmith in the engineering department in the Panama Canal Zone. He was 29 years old and a resident of Birmingham at the time. He left the service 28 Mar 1908.

As of 1909, Harrison Felix BROWN was living in Birmingham, Alabama. H. Felix and Ethel Brown appeared in the Birmingham City Directory living at 2315 11th Avenue N. He was employed as a coppersmith.

Harrison Felix BROWN and Jessie Ethel Flewellen appeared as head of household on a census enumerated 20 May 1910 in Monroe, Ouachita Parish, Louisiana. The household was listed as H. Felix Brown, a 29-year-old ccppersmith born in Alabama and Ethel, his 24-year-old wife, born Louisiana. They had been married 8 years and this was the first marriage for each. Living with them was their 7-year-old son, H. Felix, Jr., born Louisiana, six members of the J. L. Cooper family who boarded with them. They rented a home at 714 Grammant Street.

His obituary appeared 30 September 1910 in the The Monroe News-Star, published in Monroe, Louisiana. Harrison Felix Brown, a well known resident of Monroe, died at his home Sunday morning after a long illness. Mr. Brown's former home was in Birmingham, Ala. He was a well known employee of the V. S. & P. Railroad and a member of the Masonic order. The deceased is survived by his wife and son, and brother Mr. J. A. Brown, of Jacksonville, Fla., and sister, Mrs. R. Eastman(sp) of Birmingham, Ala. Funeral services were held Monday morning under the auspices of the Monroe Lodge.

Harrison Felix BROWN died on 25 September 1915 in Monroe, Morehouse Parish, Louisiana, at age 36.1
