Holly Brooks Brown
     Holly Brooks BROWN, son of Holly Middleton BROWN and Teresa A. WOOD, was born on 20 December 1868 in Bibb County, Alabama. Holly Brooks BROWN also went by the name of Henry. He never married.

Holly Brooks BROWN appeared on a census, enumerated 1 June 1870, in the household of his parents Holly Middleton BROWN and Teresa A. WOOD in Centreville, Bibb County, Alabama. He was listed as Henry Brown, Jr., one year old.1

As of 1889, Holly Brooks BROWN was living in Birmingham, Alabama. He was recorded in the Birmingham City Directory as living on 23rd Street, between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. He was employed as a clerk for Jacob Kopff.

During the Spanish American War, Holly Brooks BROWN enlisted in the 1st Alabama Infantry Regiment in 1898.

Holly was registered for the draft during World War I on 12 September 1918 while living in in King Mills, Warren County, Ohio. He was listed as 45 years old and born 20 Dec 1873, which is not his correct age nor birth year . Maybe he hoped to get in beneath the 12 Sep 1873 cutoff. His occupation was munitions workenr for the Peters Cartridge Compny of King Mills. He was described as medium height and build, with brown eyes and hair. His nearest relative was listed as John A. Brown of 110 N. 20th Street, Birmingham, Alabama.2

As of 10 May 1924, Holly Brooks BROWN was living in Dayton, Ohio. That is where he was listed in his father's obituary.
