Alabama Journal: "SANFORD, Thomas E., a resident of Prattville, died at a local hospital at noon Tuesday. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Essie Lou Sanford; two sons, Tommie and John Sanford; six daughters, Mrs. Ed McInvale, Misses Frances, Gloris, Glorianna, June, and Doris Sanford; three brothers, Seab, Gene, and Will Sanford; one sister, Mrs. Charlie Temple. Funeral servives will be held from the F. B. Holiness Church, Prattville, at 3 p.m. today with Rev. Grover Oliver and Rev. Luther Lumpkin officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Prattville. Leak-Belser-Tucker in charge."
