     Estella ABNEY, daughter of Thomas William ABNEY and Georgia Ann Mathews, was born in September 1879 in Beulah, Lee County, Alabama. She was also known as Stella or Essie.

Estella ABNEY appeared in a newspaper article 14 February 1905 in the Muskogee Phoenix, published in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Pearson - Abney --- Mr. Henry Pierson and Miss Estella Abney surprised their friends today with the announcement of their marriage, which took place Sunday evening at the bride's home, corner North Sixteenth Street and Broadway, Rev. A. Grant Evans officiating. The happy event was witnessed by a few intimate friends and the relatives of the young couple. Both the bride and the groom are well known to Muskogee people, having lived here for some time, and having both been employed in the dry goods department of the Patterson Merchantile Co. They have a large number of friends to wish them happiness.

Estella ABNEY died on 22 December 1905 in Muskogee County, Oklahoma, at age 26. Estella was pregnant with her first child and went into distress. Husband Henry Clay Pearson ran on foot to get the doctor. When they got back to her, she had died.2,3 She was buried in Greenhill Cemetery, Muskogee, Oklahoma.4,3
