     Edward William ABNEY, son of Thomas William ABNEY and Georgia Ann Mathews, was born in 1877 in Beulah, Lee County, Alabama.1 He was also known as Eddie.

Edward William ABNEY appeared on a census, enumerated 1 June 1880, in the household of his parents Thomas William ABNEY and Georgia Ann Mathews in Beulah, Lee County, Alabama. He was recorded as Eddie Abner, age 4.

Edward William ABNEY was a bill collector at Patteson Merchantile Company in 1905 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. His sister, Essie, was a salesclerk there. According to the city directory he lived at the cornor of North 16th Street and Broadway. Essie boarded with him. In 1908 he married Bertha Conley and moved to Atoka, Oklahoma and became a teacher.

Edward William ABNEY died on 23 February 1936 in Checotah, Muskogee County, Oklahoma.1,2 He was buried on 24 February 1936 in Greenhill Cemetery, Muskogee, Muskogee County, Oklahoma.
