     Elmo Murray BROWN, son of Asa Robertson BROWN and Mary Sophia Kirkpatrick, was born on 7 June 1874 in San Saba County, Texas.

Elmo Murray BROWN appeared on a census, enumerated 1 June 1880, in the household of his parents Asa Robertson BROWN and Mary Sophia Kirkpatrick in San Saba County, Texas. He was recorded as Elmer Brown, age 5.1

Elmo Murray BROWN and Troy BROWN were listed as prisoners in 1893 in Texas State Penitentiary, Huntsville, Walker County, Texas. Elmo was described as 5' 9", 147 pounds, light complexion, blue-gray eyes, and light hair, single, born 1874 Texas, laborer. Troy was 23 years old, 5' 9", 136 pounds, light complexion, blue eyes, light hair, knife scar on his left forearm as well as other scars, laborer, married, born 1870 in Texas. Both were convicted October 8, 1893 of burglary and theft of property valued over $20. Elmo received a 2 year sentence and Troy 3 years. Their sentences began 23 Dec 1893. Elmo was discharged 8 Oct 1895 and Troy 22 Dec 1896.

Elmo Murray BROWN died on 24 June 1957 in Stanislaus County, California, at age 83. He was buried in San Saba City Cemetery, San Saba, Texas.
