Elizabeth G. BURT, daughter of Joseph John BURT and Elizabeth Grace BAKER, was born in 1846 in Chambers County, Alabama.1

Elizabeth married Andrew M. Shepherd on 6 April 1862 in Chattahoochee County, Georgia.
Elizabeth G. Shepherd sold a tract of land to W. W. Shipp on 10 November 1868 in Chattahoochee County, Georgia. For the sum of $900 Elizabeth sold 5th district lots 128 and the east half of lot 97 and 8 acres in the southeast corner of lot 170 in the 10th district. The total of the land sale was 312 acres. Note that three days earlier her brother, Willis, also sold land in this area to Mr. Shipp.2
