Ruth married Smith M. HUNT, son of John Rice HUNT and Cynthia D. GIBBONS, on 4 June 1933 in Autauga County, Alabama. Their wedding announcement read: "A wedding of interest to friends in Prattville was that of Miss Ruth Fidler and Mr. Smith Hunt, which was solemnized at the home of Dr. H. M. Andrews, in Montgomery Sunday morning, May 28th at ten o'clock.
Both these young people are residents of Montgomery, where Mr. Hunt, formerly of Prattville, holds a responsible position with the store of Isaac Silver.
After a wedding trip, the bridal couple returned to Montgomery where they will be at home to their friends at the home of the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Hunt."1
